I performed here with a band called The Banderos, formally Stripped Down Blues, pub was full of friendly faces, very receptive audience, bar staff were friendly and smiling all night.place is just lovely.

Bad pub. Sign out for free pool, we ask about it they say the sign is three owners old. Of the five or so taps going three were dry. Rude staff also without interest in their customers. Hours online are also wrong.

This was our first time here, we had family visiting so wanted somewhere local for a carvery and read good reviews on FB about the Sunday carvery, we were not disappointed this is the best carvery we have had and we have had a lot of carvery’s, excellent home cooked food, really good quality meat and lovely roast potatoes, a real welcoming atmosphere by staff, would highly recommend this is a proper old English pub ?

Very welcoming proper old English boozer. Nice selection of different beers & one of the nicest pints of Guinness I've enjoyed for quite sometime. Smashing barbecue in the pubs back garden on the evening we were visiting too. Highly recommended ?.

Called in for a couple of beers after a long walk. The best couple of pints of "Butty Bach" we have had all holiday. Pleasant pub staff and dog friendly too. Great music! Basic yes, but note local pubs need to stay, so please cut them some slack. When they are gone, they are gone! You will be left looking at two 4 bedroom homes that are not making a contribution to the local economy or lifestyle!

Good pint, despite changing the glass because it was dirty. Friendly staff and customers

I can’t explain the food took nearly a hour to arrive but got told it would be 30 minutes and you could count on one hand the people in there we ordered 2 lots of sandwiches and lasagna with garlic bread the garlic bread wasn’t even cooked and the bread on the sandwiches were dry as if the was made days ago absolutely shocking will never return

Sorry but we had an awful experience here on Sunday. Roast dinners served cold and kids burgers served raw. Very dissatisfied and we all walked out and found somewhere else. Sorry guys but will never return.

Overall, disappointingly poor. We returned for food today after previously coming in for drinks (outside at the weekend) after we saw it had re opened with new management but overall not very impressed at all.On the positive side:+ nice friendly staff, chap behind the bar was very welcoming.+ the beer gardens really niceOn the negative side:- As the other person before me mentioned it’s a bit sparse inside and lacks atmosphere- food menu is tiny and very basic- food it’s self it’s “ok ish” but that’s it! It’s like canteen food really.- tacky diner style condiment sachets provided with meals- Mis matching cutlery- Miss matching plates- Tiny uncomfortable chairsAll in all it’s missed a trick, just lacked care and attention in all areas (out side of barmans attentiveness) and it shows, if only they spend as much care and attention to the inside, the food and their service as they did in painting the outside (which does look great). Unfortunately being as poor as it is it won’t last long as it is, I hope you improve soon 3 horseshoe's you have potential please do live up to it.

Went for an early supper. It was stated that new management had taken over in the last 4 weeks. Beer was good but no lemonade for a shandy until the remade dispensing was sorted. No gammon was avaible from the limited menu. Fish chips and mushy peas peas were not but crushed frozen peas. The steak and ale with veg was pie with peas. The front of house staff were trying hard and friendly. The kitchen and supply management needs to be sorted out. To make this pub worth visiting.

It's evident this is a struggling pub, the place looked deserted the decor is nothing like in the pictures the furniture falling apart and dated, fell like walking Into a saloon from the wild west, food wasnt impressive at all the beef had a green iridescent tint like pre packaged meat and nothing tasted fresh, I didn't have the heart to speak up I felt humbled my money was going to a pub in need, unfortunately given the times we live in now alot of these country pubs are cutting corners and slowly dying, this pub felt like no exception.

We had 5 small children so needed to keep them safe. The front of the pub has a few nice benches but too close to the road for small children. That’s the reason for using the so called beer garden
