Absolutely wonderful place. Best bed/ breakfast place we've been too. Nothing was too much trouble, and rooms were really lovely too. Coffee pod machine is a nice touch. And very dog friendly . Cannot fault the place. We will definitely be back.

Fantastic Christmas dinner. came here with my family on Christmas Day and we all had a lovely time and really enjoyed our food. You could tell that all the food was freshly made, presented very well and tasted delicious. All staff made sure we had everything we needed and was lovely chilled atmosphere. Highly recommend this pub for any occasion. We will be returning soon.

Visited on 24th October 23 on the recommendation of my recently graduated granddaughter. It was a quiet Tuesday evening. Starters were OK but took 30 mins before they appeared and we appeared to be the only customers dining. For the Main Course from the limited menu all 3 of us ordered an off the menu item described by the waiter as a Spicy Crispy Chicken Burger, chips and salad,(£16 each). When they arrived the chips were overcooked and there was no salad, Having called the waiter back about the missing salad a voice was shouted from behind the scenes " We're out of salad!". we presumed it was the chef, The waiter embarrassingly relayed the message to us, Not wanting to embarrass my granddaughter as the meal was supposed to be our treat for her as we were visiting from Cornwall, when we finished our food we decided that we wouldn't order desserts so I requested the bill ,paid and left. McDonalds serve better quality burgers at half the price.

Went here for a family birthday celebration and very much regret the choice of venue. From the poor service to the lack of menu choices to the awful standard of cooking and presentation...this place has deteriorated so far from the place it used to be. We won't be returning

Don’t waste your money going there. Absolutely awful. Salad black and slimy, food not as described, poor quality, cheap oven chips which tasted reheated. Rice boiled to death til it split. Missing items from plate. Some dishes they had sold out of so limited choice. Outside lights turned off at 10pm so we had to navigate through the patio furniture in the pitch black to get to the car park which was dangerous. I have emailed them re the issues and had a very poor response taking no responsibility despite me also raising issues on the night to which the response was just ‘we’ll tell the chef’. 3 of our party were up through the night with upset stomachs. The pub was empty when we got there at 8pm on a Saturday night and stayed that way, I can see why now. Only wish I had read the reviews before I booked as they echo my poor experience and are spot on.

Cold welcome, not overly friendly or chatty staff. Guy i think was the manger barely managed a hello when i greeted him, i smiled he didn’t. Outside tables and chairs need TLC, patio furniture full of spiders, webs, no care and attention. They are not encouraging anyone to want to sit and drink out the back, and definitely not eat outside, no flowers , all very bland and unloved. Was going to eat here, but changed our mind because of the cold bland atmospheric in this pub. Will not be returning sadly …

Having bothered to book, as we were interested in the menu on-line, on arrival we were immediately informed that one of the four starters on the reduced menu was no longer available and that there would be a half hour wait as they were very busy. Having had to ask for the wine list we made our order to be told that our first choice was not available. Having then chosen our food the waiter had the embarrassing task of coming back to us twice to let us know our choices were not available. As nothing else on the reduced menu was tempting (we did not want steak or curry) we decided to go elsewhere. The waiter deserves credit for giving us our drinks on the house.

Arrived with quite a cold reception. The rooms although tidy had been shut up for a while and smelt fusty. All the Others rooms all shared the same pathway so everyone has to walk past everyone’s main window and door (no privacy). The parking facilities was good. The breakfast was a bit lacking. First morning they had no bacon. The second morning the breakfast was cold. Myself an many others sending breakfast back. One resident ordered a boiled egg and it arrived in a bowl because they had no egg cups. It all appeared to me as if the business owner was wanting to make as much money as possible with little input. Leaving a very young (16is) girl to sort out breakfast is not good practice. A chef that didn’t have any allergens information on the food he was serving was frightening. The response to one question was “ I think there ok but the butcher doesn’t send me any information with them” I’m afraid any food without ingredient and allergens lists shouldn’t be on the premises. Other than this the place was okay and a clean tidy please. Would i recommend or stay there again… probably not.

Yet another short stay at The Admiral Rodney near Martley. The property is now run by a new Management team .We always stay in the lodges in the garden . The room is very spacious, extremely clean and well appointed. The bathroom and fitments top class. The location very rural and beautiful with Worcester close to hand . The breakfast was excellent and served promptly. The Manager and waitress very professional and efficient . We will be back.

One night bed, breakfast and evening dinner. Bedroom size of a cupboard, breakfast - anything on toast, no porridge or fish. Dinner anything with chips - scampi, sausages, steak - no salads or fish or healthy options. Think chef has done a runner yet still charging same amount to stay. Find somewhere else if you can

What a most unpleasant experience eating here. This is such a shame as it was our 4th time previously staying here and every time it has been fabulous - food, service, accommodation. It seems to have new ownership and having being closed for a while has opened to very little staff serving the worst food I have ever been given. Firstly we ordered a bottle of Prosecco, it arrived, already opened with about 1/3rd gone from the bottle. This was quickly resolved. There was only one other table in the bar with us, yet once we ordered our food we waited about an hour. During this time we were told the ‘chef’ had to restart our order and we we offered a bowl of nuts. We ordered 3 cod and chips and 1 belly pork. When our food eventually arrived, I cut through my fish, which was still frozen and oozing with water. This could have made one of our party seriously Ill. the belly pork was bland, no colour, with a few veg that were limp to say the least. We told the manager, who was only on his first week of working there, who quickly took the food and asked if we wanted to eat anything else. We chose not to considering the poor quality food we were given. We did however decide to have a cheeseboard to share as we were so hungry. This arrived, with no crackers and one slice of stale bread. Again, inedible. We went to our room hoping that breakfast would be better. This in fact was just as bad. The black pudding was rock hard and the rest of the food Luke warm. We didn’t eat it and left straight away. I have been waiting to hear back from the owners with regards to an email I sent but after a week, am still waiting for a response! I will not go back here again which is such a shame! Avoid if you want to eat some nice food!

Booked for lunch on Thursday. Food good and staff pleasant, but experience let down by uncomfortably cool temperature in the bar area. It was a cool day and they hadn't lit the stove either. Has put me off going there again unfortunately.

Paul and all the staff were wonderful. Friendly, welcoming and making us all feel special. Great food, spacious and comfortable rooms. Would visit again.

Just had an amazing meal here the other night. We had a smoked salmon appetizer with beets that was fantastic. The prawn appetizer was amazing as well with a great sauce to dip your bread in. The main course was a 10z steak that was cooked to perfection and the taste was amazing. It was seasoned beautifully and had mushrooms, a giant tomato, a great peppercorn sauce, and chips as a side. We ended our meal with sticky toffee pudding which was probably the best I'd ever had. Also the service was great which is a bonus. I highly recommend dining here!
