Fantastic local cafe in a light industrial estate.Lovely friendly staff, great tasting food, good portions and fair prices.Definitely worth dropping by if you are in the area.3 points of improvement which would lose 0.2 of a star- black pudding is a bit bland, no blood or guts taste- tea could be stronger- extractor could be stronger it's a bit smokey inside when they are running full beltMinor quibbles and I would definitely come again.

Great food, great service and real loyalty to people in need of a good hearty breakfast. The owner was initially hesitant as she clearly seemed concerned that we would be taking up a table for one of her potential up and coming regular customers. However, as a business owner myself, I fully appreciated the strain and stresses of the hospitality sector. I told her me and my husband would be purchasing a breakfast and she was happy to oblige. She mentioned that ‘some people only come in for a coffee and I feel bad not offering them a table’ but I understand how there are other people needed that seat more than me, that have been working all day and need to sit down for a meal. I really rate this cafe and I really respect the owner for her tenacity. Good luck to her! Xx

Well not the best of places. Not inviting unless your obviously known by them… what I’m upset to say especially in this day and age is I witnessed a gentleman come in for a coffee and asked to sit down to drink it, the lady said he is not allowed to do that as her tables are for her regulars, that’s nice. Let me mention this gentleman was on crutches!!! He stood outside this cafe and drank his coffee leaning on his crutches because these people would not let him sit for 5 minutes to drink it and I can confirm it only took him that! Poor man and absolutely disgusting behaviour, there was tones of seats available. Acting like they’re the next big thing. I happen to also read some more comments on here in which the latest one from someone complaining, instead of you being a good business owner who give some care to a business reputation you slate and we’re rude. You did not apologise and instead called him small minded, not nice if you at all and can be very upsetting to someone, sometimes as a business you have to take some criticism and learn and improve on it. I would also like to say everyone is entitled to their own opinion and if they had a bad experience then they are more than entitled to speak on that. As for you ‘freeloading of your heat’ comment I happened to sit near your ‘heat’ that big horrible, noisy and dusty thing that in fact spits out luke warm air, I was not warm in your cafe. If you have people coming in from waiting for a car would you not use that as a business opportunity? I am a business lady myself, successful at that. I would not dream of such a horrible attitude towards someone’s experience, No doubt I’ll be ‘small minded’ now for having an opinion and experience but at least I have good customer service and see right from wrong. P.S wipe your tables. Health is important.

Myself and my partner were waiting for our car at the garage near to this cafe. We asked at the garage if there was a cafe anywhere so we could grab a coffee and for myself to have something to eat. This was about 8:30am. When we walked in we asked for a tea and coffee to start with, the lady who I believe is the owner asked if we would be taking away, we told her we would like to sit in as it was freezing outside. Bare in mind most people would sit in a cafe… she told us we would not be allowed to sit in just for a tea and coffee and if we wanted to sit in we had to buy food, I told the lady I would like to order food. The lady then went on to ask us if we were waiting for a car and said she gets really annoyed with people like us coming in like this who are just waiting for a car… okay but you are a cafe, providing a service and we are purchasing drink and food off you??? Anyway… after we ordered the lady told us she only allows 30 minutes of sitting in because she has very loyal customers that come in to her. Meaning anyone visiting will not receive the same service as those she sees a couple times a week. I’ve never heard or known of a single cafe that operates in this way. I was shocked and quite frankly upset being put under pressure to finish my food and drink within 30 mins and get out. On top of that, our tables plastic cloth was dirty, the floor is not a pretty sight, the chair covers have holes everywhere and the shouting at half 8 in the morning is completely unnecessary. This was a horrible experience and for anyone that is getting a car looked at near this cafe just don’t even bother going in there, the way we were treated was horrible and rude. Every paying customer should get treated the same and you should not make customers feel so uncomfortable.
