We visited for Cake and Tea. We were greeted by a nice young lady who explained all the different cakes without even being asked to. Like it. I normally go for a Victoria Sponge but they had none which turned out to be good for me as I chose a Mango Lime and Lemon Cake it was beautiful a huge slice and great tea. Will definitely come back. Love the set up too.

Trying to find somewhere with a decent gluten free lunch menu for two coeliacs I found this delightful cafe, I would highly recommend it. Huge portions, great gluten free chips, nice atmosphere, three types of cake and a garden centre to wander round afterwards! What’s not to like !

Dreadful service and no welcome. The chalkboard at the entrance to the cafe displayed a closing time of 4pm. My husband and I arrived at 3.40pm to be met with a young lady who met us half way across the cafe area saying "I'm sorry we are closed". We said that we just thought we would order a coffee and she simply repeated the same words to us. We went to pay for our plants at the till and suggested that, if they are actually closing at 3.40pm the cafe might like to adjust theit chalkboard accordingly. The explanation given was that they close well in advance so that they can close down the coffee machine. Should this not be done after closing time and not prior to it?

We had a lovely bite to eat here and it catered for gluten free too. There was a choice of 3 gluten free cakes and there were gluten free alternatives to some of the lunch options too. The omelette was lovely and fluffy and came with a big portion of beans and hash browns. The cinnamon bun with fresh cream is highly recommended too. There is a very wide range of menu choices with plenty of vegetarian options which suited us as a family of vegetarian and meat eaters. Very friendly and obliging staff and a very pleasant environment. We will definitely be going back

I've already reviewed this cafe, so you'll all know that it's a local Gem, but I wanted to mention the selection of cakes that the owner/chef makes on site. Gary keeps the display cabinet full of absolutely delicious range of cakes and bakes. These are a perfect companion to the coffee and teas prepared by the lovely team at Botany Bay Café. My wife and I recently tried Gary's Mango and Passion fruit cake and were absolutely delighted with the flavour and texture. Anyone visiting the Botany Bay Nursery should definitely take the time to treat themselves at the café.

I never do reviews but the quality of the food is just first class. The Omelette and side salad are seriously the best I've ever had. The service is quick and the entire team are great. Steve

Lovely cafe, nice staff and great food. Portions are more than adequate. And tasted great My only disappointment was visiting in November this place was freezing and will only get worse as winter draws in. Unfortunately I will not be coming back during the colder months but would definitely visit again on the summer months

We went for lunch. We hadn't been here before so were unsure what to expect. My partner ordered the big breakfast, I ordered a jacket potato with tuna and sweetcorn. We were very pleasantly surprised. Very friendly service which was super speedy, even though they were virtually at capacity. The components of the breakfast were good quality and it was cooked well. The potato was cooked properly and had lots of real butter in it, there was a BIG pile of tuna and sweetcorn to add as required and the biggest side salad I've ever had. It had everything imaginable in it, even pomegranate, pineapple and asparagus plus two types of coleslaw. Good value for money. We would definitely recommend it and will be going again.

Which I think is vital. We had scissors to open the condiments, a first and very useful, but everything was in sachets which is slightly disappointing. All the standard things were nice bar the spread on the toast which was too margariney for me Good tho

Every visit is a pleasure to come here. Prompt service with friendly welcoming staff, especially Alex. Food always well presented and the salad is what I call a salad, not just lettuce and tomato but pineapple, pomegranate, pasta, coleslaw, asparagus and more, and chefs home made celeriac slaw which I bought a container of it from them as it was so delicious. I try to go on a weekly basis especially during the warm weather as the patio area outside feels like on holiday with plants all around.

I was so disappointed with this cafe. My partner and I love this garden centre and the cafe used to be amazing. I understand it was taken over a couple of years ago and it has never been the same standard. The staff are clearly unhappy and the place is covered in fake flowers, it looks like Barabara Cartland died in there! It is not possible to keep these clean and the area, including our table was grubby.. The food was overpriced and very poor quality. The salad had so much slimey dressing on it the cucumber needed arm bands! We ate there last year and noticed the decline in food (burnt chips, burger not cooked properly, and did mention it to the staff then but they did not care. We returned in the hope that this had been a one off but clearly not. They really let down a great garden centre who's staff are amazing. We will not return.

Treated ourselves to ' breakfast out ' for a change, we sat inside ( outside was full ). We ordered 2 x eggs benedict with salmon and one full english. Food was tasty , service quick and polite, prices reasonable. Black coffee was thin and lacking in flavour. Check out their website for the menu and prices.

Went for Saturday lunch the prices have increased quite a bit I had lasagne with salad my wife had a jacket potato the main problem was they had covered the salad in a oily dressing which I didn't mind too much but it ruined my Wife's lunch we would rather be asked it we wanted it or it was put in a separate container so we could help ourselves
