Went for a Sunday carvery, thought the definition of a carvery was for a chef to carve your meat and then you put on what vegetables you want and as much as you want not for a member of staff to put the vegetables on for you, so portions are smaller,And if you wanted only 1 or 2 veg they didn’t increase the amount. It definitely is not a self service carvery, which was expected.

We ordered two Hunters Chicken as there was no Gammon or Steak. It was one of the worst meals we have ever had. The service and the atmosphere in the pub was good but the food was really disappointing and a waste of 21 pounds.

I had a problem with the Food Hydeine at my hotel close by. I walked here and found the welcome very friendly. I hade the Classic hunters chicken, which was excellent and Great Value for money. Would recommend the Bay Horse to everyone.

We are in the area for the night and thought we’d pop in to a local pub for a bite to eat. So glad the Bay Horse was on our doorstep. We were received with a friendly smile (I think we were served by the landlady) and she was happy to recommend the best sellers from the menu. Glad she did as the food was great value and very tasty (we had the burgers). Great pints too! Thank you for your warm welcome.

We had a wonderful Sunday lunch at the Bay Horse. The food and service were amazing, the place has a real local pub atmosphere and our pup was treated like a VIP. We could not recommend it strongly enough. ☺️Kid-friendliness: Our great nieces were with us and they had a great time.

The staff were very friendly, we had a good chat with the new manager. We had steak and chips, daughter had onion rings as well. The steak was slightly grossly but the manager told us as soon as she takes over in October, she will not be using the company that is being used now. We both had a pineapple juice, when we asked for a second one, she bought it over to us but would not take payment because the food took too long to cook. She was a very pleasant manager. I would reccomend The Bay Horse pub to anyone.

I went to the bay horse on a Thursday which was steak night, the food was cooked perfectly great value for money. Me and my other half ordered to medium rare mixed grills I couldn’t have wished for a better. The staff where very attentive and nothing was too much trouble for them. When ordering drinks my other half didn’t know what she wanted the staff took their time to help her choose her drink i went for a pint of Birra Moretti and I’m glad I did fresh cold pint went down well and the other half enjoyed her gin and tonic as well. It’s safe to safe to say we are now bay horse regularsKid-friendliness: The land lady is extremely welcome with children as there were toy boxes in both bar and lounge with plenty of colouring too.Parking: Very well kept car park plenty of space
