Needed a bite to eat and popped into here, and it was lovely! They offer a gluten-free and kids menu. All the food was served well and all very tasty.\\nThe staff were very attentive and looked after us from the moment we walked through the door.\\nAn added bonus, they show live football on multiple screens!\\nWill go back again.
Transformed internally since Davenports bought it from Wetherspoon and renamed it The Port House. Two Davenports ales and a wide range of other beers. We didn’t try the food offerings but the menu looks good. The outside terrace area will shortly be extended, with decking and a raised stage for bands.

First visit since Davenport’s have brought this pub back to life. I have to say they’ve done an incredible job! The place was buzzing!! Only slight criticism is not enough tables \\u0026 chairs and no outdoor heating but they are minor points. Great service, the band they had playing were fantastic. Really pleased and thankful that Davenport’s has restored this landmark pub after Wetherspoons just left it to rot!
