Well I wish I wasn't writing this review but I must as a health and safety piont of view .Saturday 1st March 2024 my partner and I were in there area visiting old haunts .It's was a busy afternoon of locals thought great to see a local still being used ..We were there for bout hour in that time 3 guys of mid 20s were messing about at the bar .. but then the person on the bar decide to spray Air freshners at the guys .. which set of an asthma attack on my partner .. we had to leave on leaving the bar man was collecting our glasses and I did piont out his actions on spraying airfreshner in a confined space was irresponsible.. and we were having to leave because of that. His answer was I only sprayed a bit ..Really ..Childish behaviour .. is not the way to run a pub ..Since this happened on Saturday afternoon the rest of our day was spent recovering for my partner.

Fantastic pub. We came in from the nearby canal and the only reason we can’t give a higher rating for food is that the kitchen was closed. That said, a friendly local recommended an alternative and even went as far as to run us up the road so we get an evening meal. First class
