I always love the food at this traditional pub. Plenty going on during the evenings, i.e., quiz night, bingo, music. Don't forget to put your registration in if you use the car park on site. The screen is on the bar as you enter. Booking is recommended.

Yesterday evening, having had a busy day with no time to eat properly and just an hour before giving a concert (professional violinist), I needed to get some food quickly if possible. The friendly and welcoming Tash, who served me, reckoned that they could serve Fish and Chips within 10-15 minutes. It came in approx 90 seconds and what's more ,it was great! Well-cooked sizeable and golden crunchy chips (not fries) and beautifully tasty batter with the tenderest fish, mushy peas (they serve them straight too) and tartare. Friendly and welcoming ambience; if I wasn't performing I'd have tried the beers too which looked like a good selection. 100% rating for food, and will return next time I'm in the area

We have been to the Alma a couple of times recently and had meals from there specials board, a few weeks ago I had the salmon risotto which one of the best risottos I have ever had good balancof flavors and cooked to perfection. Today we have both had the lamb shank which again was cooked perfection and the red wine gravy gave it a great flavour. I would highly recommend this pub for there delicious food and friendly atmosphere 10 out of 10 will be back very soon.

Booked a table tonight for 2 and although extremely busy due to live music tonight they fitted us in. We opted for the two meals for £14 and it was really nice and tasty. Served very quickly. We think it’s a great pub for atmosphere

I've never once had a bad experience here. This lovely little pub is easy to find on the Droitwich Road just opposite St Stephens Church. The food is to die for with a wide range of delicious items packed into one side of A4 with the beauty to being able to mix, match, add or takeaway from your order. Just a few nights ago I had The Buttermilk Chicken Burger with added Pulled Pork and a side of loaded fires with a wonderful spicy chilly kick to them and plenty of sauces to dip into to go with it. I followed my pig out up with the warm sticky toffee pudding and custard which was as equally as godly as the main course. Before, during or after your meal you should take a step closer to the bar and make sure to return to your table with one of the many beers, largers or spirits on offer.I have always found all of the items on the menu reasonably priced and the staff are always down for a chat at the bar while serving you, this maybe small but has a big heart and dedicated staff who accommodate your every comfort while at this beautifully tranquil pub. This little gem has swiftly become my new favourite local watering hole after a hard day. Can't wait to come back! ?

I visited The Alma Tavern on the 24th August with family and we all enjoyed the excellent food from a very wide menu. Our orders were taken and the food arrived beautifully presented and the service was excellent thoughout. We all live far from the Alma Tavern, in Lancashire and also Wiltshire but if we are anywhere near in future we shall return. Excellent atmosphere and lovely surroundings. It was a special day for us and this visit made it even more special. Thanks Alma Tavern from Eryk and family.

Have visited this pub many times and think it's about time I shared the love . Owners and staff can't do enough for you . We take the grandchildren the high chairs are clean . When ordering food it very good value for money . Kids meals are very good . When we ordered children food they always bring it out first . This is a friendly good pub With a good value menu for pub grub !!!!

Two close friends used to live around the corner from The Alma Tavern. The Alma was their local and I got to hear all the gossip. Sadly Joan and Brian are no longer with us but as I was doing something close by I called in to raise a glass in their memory. I had a really good Thai curry. My friend was happy with the food provided and when the bill arrived it represented good value for the good food provided. Service was good and the pub is dog friendly. The only drawback is the parking situation. However the pub is well presented and you can eat outside amongst well tended plants. This was a good visit.

Great pub. First visit and called in on the off chance. Had a pint of Carling and the chip shop platter which was amazing value. The fish was fresh and cooked to order. Very prompt service. Three different members of staff asked me if my meal was okay. Can’t fault it.
