Lovely pub and mostly great staff. Come here often but today let down by a single individual behind the bar trying to impress young girls. Horrible experience and would rather pay an extra pound a pint at a decent chain who doesn’t hire trash. Usually good, but not this time.

We stayed in the hotel part so cannot comment on food or pub atmosphere. I can say however that all staff we talked to were very helpful.I know it's fashionable to bash Wetherspoons, but I really couldn't fault the hotel. First room I've stayed in where the bathroom was spacious AND spotless. No mould to be seen anywhere - believe me I've stayed in some expensive hotels which have mould in the shower seals.Generous tea and coffee facilities, and iron/board, loads of pillows and decent sized bed. Would definitely stay there again.

Unfortunately I’ve had to give a 1 star review after the experience we had today. We walked in found a table and went to the bar to order, we were there 10 minutes decided to order on the app. 20 minutes had gone by as I asked where the drinks were and someone replied they’re bringing them now. A further 10 minutes had gone by and I had got up to ask for a refund, another 10 minutes had gone by before someone assisted me with refund. A total of 40 minutes and all we ordered was 2 Desperados, 1 sanpellagrino and a Guinness, it wasn’t even complex drinks. Understandably it was St Patrick’s day, but the place wasn’t really that busy and the staff just weren’t on it. Really disappointed as we love a drink in spoons.

Not the best spoons around. They also forgot my onion rings for my steak dinner and when I asked a waitress if I could have them, they still didn't come. Still, you can't argue with the prices!

We popped in for breakfast. Ordered and waited & waited . Other customers came in after we ordered and got their breakfast way before ours. Considering the kitchen was only just a few feet away, my husbands breakfast was barley warm . We could see the kitchen area, prep side all the staff on duty was just in conversation with the bar person.
