As Northerners, we are particularly fond of and are knowledgeable about pies. The place did not let us down. There is a variety of pies and mash to choose from, reasonably priced and also good portion sizes. The mustard mash was amazing. Our group thought it was one of the best pub meals we have had in ages and would definitely go again. Staff were helpful and attentive. You need to try this place, it’s well worth it.

In more than 40 years of traveling in Britain the pies we had were definitely one of the best ever. Topped with most friendly service and bar keeper, this was an evening to remember and to talk about to friends. Even the building offered many most impressive, one-of-a-kind secrets - find out yourself! Highly to be recommended.

My first visit to this lovely old pub, The staff were very welcoming . The pies are a must if you visit, I had steak with Stilton served on a bed of cheese mash and spring greens with peas and extra gravy on the side, fantastic! Will be back again most definitely

We were greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. super friendly staff, 2 lovely ladies looked after our group of 10 for Fathers day lunch. they were very patient when taking the orders. Our food all arrived together piping hot and tasted great. Upon booking I hadn't realised there was a second floor and had not stated that 2 of the group were disabled, my mistake ? however the team were so helpful and caring and between us we got them both up and safely back down. I would definitely recommend the King Charles House and look forward to returning soon. thanks team for making Fathers day easy, tasty & very enjoyable.

After shopping on a hot day this is just what you need, what a beautiful, refreshing atmosphere. Sat outside of course in the sun, struggled to choose between an iced coffee and a refreshing gin, but rhubarb and bramley apple gin won. Finished off with a tuna and cheese melt, could not get any better. Will definitly go back again on a colder day for the white chocolate bread and butter pudding. ❤️?

A pub with a real sense of history built in 1577, amazing selection of beers and a wholesome food menu. New owners only took over last week and welcome you like old friends. If you are in Worcester pop in and give it a try

The stunning facade of this historic building made it virtually impossible to walk past, and once inside the whole experience was just as impressive. Breathtaking architecture, complimented by tasteful period artefacts, sympathetic lighting and twickling candle light made me feel like I had stepped back in time. There was a warm welcome by the attentive staff and knowledgeable help selecting from the fantastic range of well kept ales. The food was great too, including an imaginative selection of pies and flavoured mash. I'd recommend the moo and bloo (Steak and blue cheese pie) with horseradish mash. The owner was very friendly and obviously has a keen eye for detail, because the whole experience was superb. Not just recommended, but worth going out of your way to find.

Tried a lovely steak and Stilton pie with cheese mash. I'm not normally a pie or mash fan but wow this was amazing. Nice little pub and good service. Will return :)

The pub was the escape route of King Charles the 2nd and now is an excellently presented city centre venue in the heart of Worcester. The vast selection of real ales, stouts, ciders and lagers are a must try. The great pies presented fantastically added to the ambience that shows off this historic building (1577) in it's very best light is a real treat for pub lovers. It is open Monday to Sunday serving meals at lunch and dinner time. Well worth a visit or 2!

Just when you thought there was no room for improvement, they stepped it up a notch. I’ve been eating pies here for years. When a place comes under new management there can often be teething problems but this was better than ever. Great selection of real ales and a massive pie menu. Fair prices and great service. This is great for a true English pub experience in a genuine wonky old building.

What a fantastic pub, we had two of the pies , a beef and ale and steak and kidney, they were absolutely delicious. We chose mustard mash which was very tasty. The meal was piping hot and one of the best meals we’ve had for a long time. The pub is steeped in history and has a lovely relaxed feel. We chatted with the owner who told us he’d only had the pub a matter of weeks, we were very impressed. He was really friendly as were the two bar staff. We wish the pub every success for the future and we can’t wait to visit again.
