One of the highlights of our rainy Christmas / New Year visit to lovely Wadborough was the Mason’s Arms. We were welcomed by the couple running this heart-of-the-village pub as if we were long-standing locals, and the local people we met in the bar were, to a person, similarly welcoming. The two local beers on hand pump were superb. We didn’t get a chance to try the food but it looked delicious. As another reviewer has commented, this pub cannot be recommended highly enough - it’s the very essence of the English village pub. We’ll be back in the summer for sure.
