Lovely refurbishment of a grand hotel in Biggleswade. Large open spaces on the ground floor for dining and then a hotel above. Right in the centre of Biggleswade so walk to the attractions. Food is typical Wetherspoon but well prepared and cooked and the usual excellent value. Staff were friendly and attentive on our visit at lunchtime so overall a pleasant experience. Recommended.Revisited 23/3/24 still good quality and very busy so it shows that others agree.Walkability: Good as it is Central to the town

Best place to stay in Biggleswade. Rooms are good and feels like a real pub inside, good atmosphere (not a converted building). Food is reliable and consistent. Couple of times I've had less than great service at the bar where others have been served before me who arrived after me, but it can get busy so only a minor point!

Best hotel room we have been in for ages compared to holiday inn or Hilton etc. Plenty of in room supplies and very clean. Bathroom was spotless.Rooms: Room were very clean with good quality furnishings.Nearby activities: Nic coffee shops and different kind of shops. Loads of history.Walkability: Very easy to access the shops and facilities in the town.

I haven't seen the rooms, so I can't comment on them. Otherwise a brilliant Wetherspoons. Great value and service. Roaring log fire in a great old building packed with character. Wish it was nearer...Food & drinks: Excellent food. Very consistent and there's always a beer (real ale) to my liking.
