“We wanted somewhere new to meet as a family and celebrate a relative’s birthday. We had driven past the Farmer’s Boy on a regular basis, but had never been there, so decided to give it a try. We were so pleased we did. What a great experience. The food was really good - it was a Sunday so there were 5 or more options for a roast dinner, but which also could be ordered in different sizes. The portions were extremely generous so no-one went hungry! The optional Cauliflower Cheese (extra cost) could easily have been shared by four as a side dish. In addition to the roasts, there was a good selection of fairly traditional pub food, including liver & bacon and fish & chips. The pudding selection was also good and again the portion sizes were generous. The service was excellent with very polite, engaging and cheerful staff and the environment was clean, tidy and well maintained. We really enjoyed our visit and, if the number of people coming and going during our time there is any indication, it is a very popular venue with the locals. One interesting element I have not seen before was the copious number of board games available to play whilst visiting. Our table had a Bond themed Trivial Pursuits game which we enjoyed whilst waiting for our food.Overall, for six of us, the cost was just over £150. This was for two courses and a drink, and was very reasonable given the generous portion sizes. We’ll definitely be going there again and would highly recommend it.Parking: Off street parking behind the pub - bit of a pothole as you turn off the road, hit nothing too serious.”

“Really friendly local. There is a food menu but sadly doesn't yet cater for gluten intolerant vegetarians so I can't mark them for that. Dog friendly, Rupert the manager always has a treat ready when he's working. Friendly, helpful bar staff. This pub has a great vibe and has various events. Quiz nights, Sunday meat raffle, DJ's etc.Parking: Car park right next to the pub with a parade of shops available including a co op”

“Once again the Bell is always good for entertainment and a good evening. Could do with the usual spruce up and serve a bit of grub/snacks. Always can have a dance and last time there was a really good singer. KEEP OUT THE KIDS. The trade ain't worth it or sell tickets for drinks at a certain time with ID. At least you get your monies worth before throwing them out. ?”

“Nice bar a little walk from Dunstable town centre. Expect to pay £4 to £5 region for a premium lager but worth it for the clientele. After a recent visit, we decided that it has the best pub garden we've been to in Dunstable.”

“Me and 4 friends went for the Boozy Afternoon Tea on The Tipsy Terrace. Excellent value for money!! Loads of home made food-cakes, sandwiches, sausage rolls, cake shots! Lots of drink choices. The staff were very attentive and we felt very looked after. The terrace is beautiful and really well thought out. There was a DJ all day. We had such a great time, the vibe was friendly and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.Would highly recommend this pub for food, beer in the garden or a night out ?”
