My favourite thing about the pub was the all the games. We enjoyed those as a family. The staff allowed us to walk in without booking if we waited 45 minutes to order. We were grateful for that and ordered drinks while we waited. Unless there were parts of the pub we couldn’t see though, it wasn’t overly busy so not sure why we needed to wait because they did have the table.

The food was piping hot and the veg was clearly fresh, if a little too al-dente. There was also a good selection to choose from on the menu.

Visited last night with my son, who very much enjoyed his squid starter and scampi. A great option for anyone camping at New Green End Farm as we were. Nice beer also. Very generous portion sizes, the 'medium' sized ones were more than enough for us. The only problem was that we were too full to have any pudding, but hopefully next time!

We came he after whipsnade zoo, didn't book just came in on a whim and I'm glad we did the staff where fantastic accommodated us very well. Food was delicious I ordered a medium size curry I honestly can't imagine how big a large one would of been. The apple crumble was a great size with plenty of custard not one of those stingy gravy boats. Fantastic portions at good value.

A nice old fashioned village pub. The lunch meal we had was excellent & well priced, made better by the discount offered on that day. We didn't visit in the evening but it looks to be popular with games evenings and other activities. Friendly & pleasant staff & very helpful.

Lovely village pub

Great pub and dog friendly but when asked if I could have a dog biscuit they started filling a bag and charged me for it. Most pubs have a jar

Sunday lunch is excellent, plenty of food. General menu has a good selection but you do need to book a table, especially on Sundays. Price is very good for what you get. They have a large garden to the rear, with parking. Staff were very friendly, even suggested a very good gin!

Had a quick drink in the garden, but nice vibe for a village pub
