It's ideally located with adequate parking. The restaurant area is welcoming and clean. Food was well prepared and portions generous. A little more time between courses would help to make a meal into an 'occasion'. However, staff were polite, friendly and made us (my wife and myself) feel welcome and valued.Parking: Easy access. adequate parking but limited disabled spaces.

My request to be away from the entrance and bar area was met. Service was friendly and without long delays between courses. Food was excellent too..All in all superb in every way.

Had light lunch of smoked mackerel paté which was tasty, but spoiled by the fact that it still had the skin mashed through it. It was difficult to eat as the skin had to be prised from the flesh first and of course it had all been mashed together so the skin ended up in several pieces. Had the skin been removed before the fish was put in the ramekin it would have been absolutely fine.
