An enjoyable lunch - the food was good and all my colleagues enjoyed their choices. The experience was however negatively affected by the poor payment processes - the internet connection afforded to the staff was rather dodgy so contactless payments were patchy. Thankfully I'd got enough cash to pay so avoided continued embarrassment and delay in getting back to my colleagues. We had a delightful Sunday roast here - a table for 10 was never an ideal ask on Mothering Sunday but the staff were immediately accommodating and recommended pre-ordering to ensure we got our first choices! The portions were hot, large and tasty with an excellent selection of veg. The apple crumble for dessert was especially good and the garden area was a big hit with our kids. A great pub! Was staying nearby and popped in in the hope of a good pint and a sunday lunch.The food was lovely and the beer good too.So good, we went back the following Friday and had there Thai prawn curry. Great food, great beer and all served with a friendly smile, so often missing these days.
