We went there for mother's day. The place was very busy as you would have expected. The food was excellent and will definitely be back.

Hi a lovely pub shame about the service I think we were put in a corner and forgot about, had to tell waitress that we were ready to order, waited over 1hour before ordering when others had ordered and received there meals that came in after us, then when received the food the chips were burnt on one meal the rest was good mentioned to waitresses offered some more but declined.at the end complained but came up with excuses depending on what you order as to how long you have to wait ( people got served there food before we even ordered) ask for money off but refused, only got offered free complimentary drinks, you pay a lot of money to eat out, then to have to prompt staff that we’re still here waiting to be served when others have come in after us and been served , and received there meal not on, won’t be returning guys.

Good pub food and a good selection of beers on tap. We visited recently as a group after a family funeral. They looked after us exceptionally well. Thank you.

Pre Christmas meal for six people. Five of us having beef rib which was amazing and the turkey and trimmings was huge and on a par with any Christmas day ! Great service and atmosphere. Excellent traditional village

Our experience at the Five Bells in Dunstable for lunch was nothing short of a disaster. Despite our simple order of a burger for myself, my son, and the confit duck leg for my husband, we were left waiting for an unbearable amount of time. The couple next to us had already finished their entire meal, including drinks and left before we even received our food. When we inquired about the delay, we were met with a polite but empty apology and the promise that our food was on its way. However, 15 minutes later, we were still left hungry and frustrated. It was only after another inquiry that we were casually informed about a problem with the fryer by the waiter, which was apparently the reason for the delay. As if that wasn't bad enough, my 3-year-old son was understandably getting a bit fractious. It was only after my husband expressed his annoyance that we were then informed by the owner about an issue with the oven, leaving us feeling as if we had been lied to and deceived throughout our entire experience. The fact that our food finally arrived, with my burger being served cold, did little to salvage the situation. The owner's complete lack of care and their cavalier attitude towards our dissatisfaction will ensure that we never set foot in this establishment again. It's a shame because the place may look nice, but the lack of honesty and customer service ruined any potential for a pleasant experience.

8 of us came to the five bells this evening to celebrate my Dad's birthday. We were in the restaurant for 3hours!! Service was extremely slow. We sent back 3 main dishes as the burger on the kids menu was inedable and both lamb dishes were raw. We also ordered a hot drink with deserts which never came. All this is bad enough but when it came to complaining when we received the bill, the guy I spoke to was so arrogant and dismissive and tried to tell me that lamb is always served pink, failing to acknowledge in anyway that the lamb was not pink it was raw and tough and was sent back to the kitchen. He also said that we should of said something earlier. If sending 3 dishes back, sitting in the restaurant for 3hours due to slow service and not receiving everything we ordered doesn't warrent us complaining about then I don't know what does. Safe to say we will not be back.
