A great venue and super for lunchtime ?

We dropped in on a Sunday and enjoyed an absolutely banging roast. Generous portions, well cooked and served hot. The topside was served gloriously blushing and the vegetables were all well seasoned. To top it off a giant balloon of puffy Yorkshire pudding joy. Service prompt, polite and very friendly. Will we be back and do we recommend this pub? Yes we will and you should visit!

Wow! What an incredible local gem.Exceptionally friendly service from both the bar staff and the restaurant staff. Very prompt and attentive too.The food... Omg, soooo tasty. We had the braised ox cheek and the thai yellow curry. Incredible and bursting with flavour.Chef needs a raise! We'll be back for sure, thanks for a lovely evening ❤️

Disappointing. £10 for a very thin cheese and onion sandwich. Thin sliced bread with very little filling.

This is such a hidden gem. The food is excellent every time. The staff are lovely. Always a good selection of beers on draft. Very cosy atmosphere. My go to pub when visiting family. Heartily recommend the Unicorn!!! Gary's pie of the day a real beauty, top 5 pies of all

Great pub! Equidistant from Stowe House/Gardens and Ascott Manor gardens.A great alternative to stopping at a motorway service station on journeys from the north of England to London.

Delicious venison casserole and ribs followed by plum crumble. Excellent service and coffee.

We had a two course meal here last night. The restaurant wasn’t busy. It was warm and cosy, with a central fire. The food was excellent, and well presented. We will return.
