This is my second time at Coworth Park for afternoon tea. I booked the festive tea so we could experience the carol singers. Sadly the entire experience was quite bland and disappointing. This is the second restaurant this Christmas where we have had to wait for our table beyond our reservation time. The layout of the drawing room is all wrong and they haven't made the best use of the space. My partner was basically looking at a closed door for the two hours. If he wanted a view of the tree or pianist he had to turn around and have his back to me. It would have made more sense for the huge tree to have been placed where we were sat and our table to be where the tree was. The room itself is very bland with minimal artwork and a poor layout of furniture. Another reason I chose coworth was for the fireplaces. Neither were on during our tea and we're blocked by seats so could not be seen. This adds to the cosiness but sadly were not in use. The carol singers would pass from room to room which was not really ideal and appeared very messy. The pianist was playing but with many many breaks so it seemed like he was only there for a short period of the tea. The food itself was ok, I've been to Dorchester and the sandwiches are much better. The fillings were bland and not tasty at all. We had booked a champagne tea. We were half way through our food and I realised that we had not been offered the champagne so I had to ask for it. As for the tea, most places leave the teapot on the table so you can refill your cup but the waitress put it on another table. We had to wait ages to get her attention and by the time she refilled my cup it was almost cold. It was a very disappointing experience and my partner and I both agreed that we will not return. We have many choices in this area and I chose coworth due to the good experience we had last year. Sadly it has changed this year and I will choose another venue for my next afternoon tea. The standard has slipped considerably and I think it was a waste of money. I also think that the afternoon tea trays are not practical, the waitress put ours in the middle of the table and I could not see my partner so had to move it.

Just celebrated 2 years since getting married at Coworth Park and have vowed to come back every anniversary to re-live the memories of the most spectacular day. Our champagne afternoon tea was delicious and served to perfection by the lovely Angelik. Coworth Park never disappoints.

Received an afternoon tea gift voucher from my wife for my 50th birthday and had a wonderful time. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was amazing and the House itself is simply stunning. We had a walk around the grounds after our lunch and enjoyed the wonderfully maintained gardens and sculptures. I’m guessing it’s not cheap so not something we could do often (though we would like to!), but as a special gift for a loved one I would highly recommend it.

Our party of 7 enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea at Coworth Park today - and were delighted with the attentiveness of our waiter, Anis. Thank you Anis for this, and for you smiling face and 'can do' attitude.

Lovely afternoon tea here on the sumptuous drawing room. Service was warm and friendly, food fantastic and a good selection of teas offered. Cannot fault anything about this experience and I are certain we will visit again. Highly recommended.

One of our favourite places for afternoon tea. We visited to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and received a lovely complimentary raspberry and white chocolate cheesecake. The service was exceptional from our arrival when we received Champagne from the maitre de that had been pre booked as a surprise from our daughter. Beautiful table in the conservatory. The tea itself was a delightful Coronation tea with delicious sandwiches, scones and wonderful cakes. Our waitress, Anjelik was extremely attentive, friendly and excellent at her job, nothing was too much trouble for her. Look forward to visiting again

We had an amazing Afternoon Tea in the Drawing room at Coworth Park, Ascot. It was a lovely experience and we were attentively served by Angelique. Angelique was so professional, kind and attended to our every need. We had endless rounds of sandwiches and the cakes, scones & little pastries were beautifully presented and tasted delicious. The staff can accomodate Vegetarian & other dietary requirements with no fuss. The ambience & setting at Coworth Park is truly unique. We were allowed to wander around the grounds and explore the vicinity of the mansion house. A beautiful setting & a memorable experience with delicious food & friendly staff. We shall be back soon.

A consistently exceptional afternoon tea experience. The elegant drawing room, comfortable and relaxing atmosphere and wonderful service from attentive and informative staff members in addition to the delicious food and drink, makes this an experience to remember. We have been a few times now and every time it has been remarkable. The sandwich flavours and freshness surpass any afternoon tea I’ve had before and a plentiful supply, should you wish for more you just have to ask. The cakes and patisserie selection are incredible, special mention to a chestnut tart that was without doubt the nicest patisserie I have ever eaten. The scones are fresh, warm and moreish, lucky that these too are replenished at your request. Would highly recommend and return.

Celebrated signing our marriage certificate with afternoon tea at Coworth Park. I’ve never quite experienced service like it, the food was delicious, the gardens were exceptionally well manicured and very well priced for what you get for your money. Something everyone has to do once in their lives (if not every day!) thank you to the Coworth Park team and a special shout-out to our waitress on the day she was amazing (but we’ve forgotten her name).

When my daughter booked as we don’t drink alcohol, they offered to do the tea for the price without champagne. However they charged us full price. They argued that this could not have been agreed. Which implied we were lying!! Also we had a toddler 18 month of age, and were asked to ‘keep it down’. Although he is good and doesn’t make noise apart from having a little musical toy which he used twice for a couple of minutes. In did not disturb anyone as it was quiet and we were in the corner in addition there was music playing in the background. Don’t feel this was a child friendly place. Therefore we were left feeling rather let down, not a good feeling when you have wanted to have a special memory with your family!

We celebrated my husband's birthday with a very special afternoon tea today. The food was exceptional and the service from the staff, particularly Lauren, was excellent! Attentive and efficient. I would certainly recommend the venue for a special occasion or for any reason. What a treat.

Chic, luxurious venue. Sweeping driveway through huge, stunning grounds dotted with figurative sculptures. Buggies and footmen. Attentive, lovely restaurant staff. Everything you would expect from a 5* hotel in terms of interior decor, space, cleanliness, infrastructure, staffing. Glorious panoramic views from the terrace of The Drawing Room. Space heaters (and blankets available). Live piano music in The Drawing Room itself. Five choices of small plate, large plate and puddings on the menu. Our choices of Halibut, Burger, Fish and chips were all delicious. The lemon cheesecake was sublime. This was a lovely memorable evening, and we were really well looked after. We booked into The Barn restaurant as a special treat for for my mother's birthday. The booking was made months in advance, and subsequently due to a massive corporate booking we were contacted and asked if we would mind being relocated to The Drawing Room. At all times the reschedulling was handled extreemly professionally. Each and every member of staff I spoke to from the Dorchester Group was thoughtful, accomodating and polite. I felt well looked after. There was a reminder telephone call a few days before the meal. It was only then when I looked more closely at the pictures on the website I saw there are low tables in The Drawing Room, and was worried about how comfortable that would be for my mum, who is in a wheelchair. I was reassured my mother's mobility issues would be fully catered for re: access and comfort /ergonomics. The maître d', Seb, ensured continuity of care, and extended his shift by three hours to oversee our visit. We were offered and accepted a complimentary bottle of Veuve Clicquot champagne for the inconvenience caused by the relocation.
