We enjoyed a wonderful meal at Blandy´s. A relaxed venue, and attentive service. I would recommend the Sunday roast menu, very good value for money. We will definitely come back.

Really lovely place, staff friendly and willing to help with any request, food was absolutely amazing. This place is a hidden gem, I can't believe I didn't discover it earlier even though I'm local.

Wonderful food - the best dish I had ever had of this variety. Lovely surroundings and wonderful staff. Would eat here every day if I could!

We were fascinated that this up market care home/sheltered accommodation would have a restaurant open to the public. The house is glorious and seems like an hotel in many respects. We ate in the garden in lovely sunshine and ordered from a very small menu. Some of our meal was lovely, one main was overcooked and very small. However, it was a pleasant lunch and I'm glad we went. Nice staff and gastopub prices.

Good food, alright service and a beautiful setting but lacked refinement for the price. Thanks for the kindness during Mother's Day

visited with wife and friend for lunch. The restaurant is part of a luxury retirement complex housed in a Georgian building restored to its full glory. The restaurant is spacious table well-spaced with full linen. The choice of all courses was excelled, well cooked and presented; the wine (Malbec) was a little pricy but well worth to cost (£28). two of us had duck and the friend sea bream, all served with the appropriate vegetables, the dessert of choice was Creme Brulee.Coffee to follw

Thought we would book Blandy’s for a Festive Menu lunch with friends. The website and menu said it was available from 12 Noon to 8.00pm, so we thought booking at 1.00pm would give us plenty of time to enjoy a relaxing meal and catch up in pleasant surroundings. I was surprised when the booking confirmation came back to say our table was booked for one hour from 1.00 to 2.00 pm so I queried this with the restaurant. After a 2nd email they eventually came back to me to say that contrary to the advertised times, the restaurant opens from 12 noon to 2.00pm when it closes for the afternoon and reopens from 5.00 to 8.00 pm in the evening. As such we felt that we would be under pressure to eat up when the restaurant was closing at 2.00pm, though they said we could stay there if we were still eating. Had we known that they closed at 2.00pm we would not have booked so have cancelled. They did say that we could hire a private dining room from 12.00 - 4.00pm at £125 which we declined. It is a great shame that the Blandy’s Festive Menu experience didnt live up to their advertisement or our expectations, so we decided to go elsewhere rather than take a chance.

I booked Blandy’s for a friends 29th birthday following a Google search of best places for afternoon tea in Wiltshire. Whilst I would definitely agree the food was lovely, unfortunately I don’t think it’s made clear on the website that the restaurant is located within a retirement village. Whilst I appreciate the choice to not advertise this clearly may be a conscious decision, unfortunately it left me feeling like I had been misled and disappointed. I vocalised my disappointment to the lady on the front desk and she completely understood my concerns, saying I wasn’t the first person to give this feedback. Lovely food but I would strongly recommend being more upfront with location and targeting a certain customer group. Otherwise certain people, including myself, are disappointed before even getting in the door.

We've eaten at Blandy's several times prior to and after covid. I booked lunch last week through the website for Bank Holiday Monday taking a 95 year old relative for a lunch treat. Arrived to time - receptionists & a chef having a jolly good natter. When we gave our name for the restaurant, One receptionist commented 'we're closed today, sic having a bar-b-que, sic I emailed you, sic the booking system should not have taken your booking, sic there's a nice pub down the road, let me open the door for you". A courtesy call suggesting Sunday lunch may have been more appropriate? Had we have been late for lunch would Blandy's have e-mailed or called? Perhaps as recession looms guests should be valued - your financial loss.

Delicious Sunday lunch today for my husband and myself. Tender roast beef and roast gammon crunchy roast potatoes with lovely fresh vegetables, followed by a dark chocolate fondant for me with clotted cream ice cream and ice cream selection for hubbie. Beautiful setting, delicious food and very attentive staff - thank you ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
