Really upset by Doves Farm today. Had placed an order and it was due to be delivered today. I order for my sister in law who is disabled and they usually deliver promptly. Today however, no delivery arrived but a couple of emails did saying that they had missed her and have taken the delivery to a post office a mile away. There is no way that she can get there or carry a large parcel home with her even if she could get there. Apparently, this is DPD's new policy. No second deliveries - or in this case - no first delivery. DPD say they have photo proof that they went to the flat. But, who's flat did they go to? Not my Sister-in-law's who was sitting by the window awaiting it!!! Doves Farm are having the parcel returned to them and then we will get a refund. That's a lot of use when it was the food that you wanted.
I have always enjoyed using Doves flour and think the quality is s brilliant however their chosen courier leaves a lot to be desired. Last year my delivery was left against the side of my house ,boxes were broken and a sack of flour was damaged and had leaked into the open box . This was dealt with and a replacement sack was sent ,which was also leaking , I contacted doves ,received no reply . This year my order was received with broken boxes and a sack again torn and damp . The box also had leaked oil on it , luckily it hadn't got on to the sack . I have twice emailed Doves about this and received no reply . I love using their flour as it's so good however I am not happy to use the delivery agents again and a reply would have been appreciated.
