Visiting the area on business I came upon this chippy, thought I'd give it a try, what can go wrong with a chippy?Sadly a lot, the fish wasn't cooked, the batter was wet and soggy and the chips were not proper chip shop chips, as you'd expect, but appeared to be cheap supermarket own brand fries with lots of ends and scraps and the prices higher than back home.If I'd seen this is what they were serving I wouldn't have ordered tbhI don't think the oil was hot enough to fry the fish, hence uncooked and wet soggy batter and the chips were very poor.Sadly time I'd opened the box of drudge I was many miles away in my hotel or I would have returned and told/shown them how disappointing the food was.Shame as the staff were polite, the place looked tidy and clean.Lesson learnt and money wasted, in future I'll stick to where I know fish n chips are decent.

Absolutely appalling that their card setup doesn't work with Google Pay. Tried to pay here and their machine won't accept it. Then they look at you and expect you to have a physical card or cash. No one in the 21st century uses that. Very backward and through this they have lost a loyal customer. I will not return until this is fixed.

Absolutely disgusting and disappointing! After not visiting the nippy Chippy for a couple of years I was surprised to have this experience. £20 of food went straight in the bin. Chips had been sat there all day by the looks of them and the cod was no bigger that a child’s hand, barely any cod smothered in greasy soggy batter.The Chicken kebab meat was microwaved and chewy. Such a shame, won’t be going back

Worst meal I've ever had from there sadly ! Chips tasted like they'd been reheated for 1 thing, and ALL the food ordered was cold to luke warm at best, including the curry sauce, total waste of £20 ...... never again !

Advertise Indian but no longer serving Indian. We ordered for 7 people and waited around 30 minutes for it. Poor for a chippy. Food was nice though. Has a better reputation than our experience. Maybe they were just having a bad day. Seem rushed off their feet with not many customers
Stopped late night on the way back from Brecon Beacons. Food cooked fresh which was worth the 5 min wait. Very friendly staff and locals. Definitely recommend.
