“Set in an idyllic location, The Crown is the perfect restaurant for Food, Service and atmosphere. For snacks we had prawns, Welsh rarebit and scotch egg followed by Cod and 2 x Venison with sides, for main. Desserts were Rice pudding and chocolate fondant. All Delicious. Was a lovely evening, The Crown is also very cosy and the decor lovely. Plenty of parking also.”

“The ambiance is just lovely. The staff are friendly, attentive and very polite. The food is tasty and portions are huge, I had to get some packed to take home. We were quite frequent patrons before the pandemic. So glad that this family run business is doing well. We go with our in-laws to enjoy an evening together and are never disappointed.”

It's just by the bridge at Cookham. Easy parking.Parking: Just give Reg Number at bar and the parking is free for stay.”

If you have the opportunity, do it. (Those with negative reviews are being very unfair in my opinion, boosting their own ego).I should also add that Josh looked after us really well, specially with his coffee facts about SL-28”

“I'm a Brit living in the US, and wanted to give my American wife a taste of a 'proper' English pub Sunday lunch while were over visiting family. I'd seen the Hinds Head recommended and thought if we were going to go anywhere, then this would be a great example. We were both very, very impressed. From the scotch egg and soup starters, through the main course of beef for her and pork for me (including the best roast spuds I've ever had!) and ending with a gorgeous Eton Mess this was worth the trip. I've been telling my UK based friends that they really need to visit - even if you have a drive round the M25 to get there!”

“We were a group of 10. A very old and charming place. The service was quite nice and in a perfect speed. Never had to look for waiters, they appeared frequently and were very nice and helpful. I had the beef tartar as Appetizer which was hand cut, fresh and overall nice and recommendable. Not on the top range but good handwork. The burgers I found quite normal and not exciting. The buns seemed to be home made, but I had a quit dry one. The meat was not that good to be honest. Cooked medium but tasted not as expected. I would not order again. As dessert, we got the Creme Brûlée. Well made and delicious.”

“We 3 OAPs had a carvery lunch today. It was very tasty with a plentiful choice of meat and veg which was all fresh and hot. A lovely cheerful man checked our booking on entry and Barbara, our waitress, took care of drinks and food orders. What a friendly, charming, polite and efficient lady. She is a real asset. We were so well looked after on a very busy day in the restaurant. We'll be back.Parking: Plenty of parking to the rear of premises”
