Unit A, Trinity Place, St Ives Rd, MaidenheadDelicious lunch, we had one of the Sandos each. Makes a nice change when you don’t fancy a whole pizza. Jade was our lovely server. Only gave 4 stars for atmosphere as it was quieter than usual, but I know when it’s busier in there, there is a much better buzz.

The rooms are great spacious and very clean. I was unable to eat the food due to being a strict diet however it all looked fantastic. Would 100% recommend and if back the area will certainly book again,

Clearly food will feature somewhere on your list and in the case of The Waterside this takes the form of classic French cooking. Nothing is “deconstructed” or designed to surprise. You know exactly what you’re getting from the menu and if you’ve visited previously you probably even know what you’re going to order before you arrive. Nothing is intended to shock.
Far too many restaurants at all levels feature a talented kitchen team let down by their front of house. From the moment you arrive here everyone knows what they are doing and wants to make your visit as enjoyable as they possibly can. They’re not trying to trip you up, you don’t have to be fluent in gastronomy or know anything about malolactic fermentation. The sommelier is there to help, not to test. No one is judging you although I’d be lying if said we didn’t people watch our fellow diners a little.
You are family when dining at The Waterside, it’s not in any way stuffy or starched. That’s not to suggest service is casual, seamless would be my best description with teams assembling when required to reveal your next course before melting away again to leave you to your conversation. The Waterside is a happy place.
My memory of the venue is that it’s a bit dated, the phrase “Chinese restaurant” was used as we drove there but things have quietly evolved. It’s actually quite smart these days. The bathrooms are modern and fresh, the soft furnishings crisp and comforting with a nod to the history of the venue. Let us not forget this is an institution woven into the fabric of British restaurant history.

Ensuring we had everything we wished for, assisting with order reccomendations and allowing us to feel comfortable whilst also experiencing a delicious dining evening. My friend is a vegetarian and she had plenty of choice. The nduja prawn starter was sublime. Portions to perfection on all dishes. The chefs have really nailed their flavour combinations and presentation. This restaurant provides the perfect balance of elevated real Italian food whilst remaining humble and comforting. What a good decision that turned out to be! The Indian food is just superb - very possibly the best we've ever had. Amazingly good value too, especially for that part of the world. The staff were really friendly & welcoming. We'll definitely be back.

The Fat Duck

Many of the dishes are famous so for a lot of guests there’s no surprises but you will still really appreciate the dishes as they very much taste as you would imagine them. The standard of cooking is extremely high and this is mixed with fun and invention.
The pace of the service was on point and our drinks pairing was fabulous as well as immaculately served up in the most precise way.
It is also the type of restaurant that goes out of it's way to accommodate dietary requirements and allergies, we don't have any but you could tell they make every effort to accommodate most people.
Would we come back? Yes absolutely.
Somethings that could be improved.
The tasting menu - like many other high end restaurants- suffers from lacking enough carbs and people don’t really want to address this by filling up with bread. This can mean that many eaters still feel hungry and though this could be helped by increasing some portion sizes, the main culprit is the lack of carbs on the menu. The most satisfying tasting menus will make people feel well fed before dessert and happier about their experience bearing in mind how much they are paying. Maybe it feels like the type of menu that makes it difficult to integrate carbs into that feel suitable, but that’s an interesting puzzle and shows some space to evolve into. When people complain that they felt hungry after such a meal, they’re not missing the point, being old fashioned etc, they are absolutely right. A lack of carbs is the main gap here.
The only other thing is that we only had finally grated Truffles on our Walk in The Woods whilst this dish is widely presented with a few thin grated Truffle pieces too, this made us feel that this dish was missing something that we had paid for. The dish was still fantastic and we appreciate dishes will vary but it's a bit problematic when you have seen the dish before adorned with generous slices of Truffles which is a higher cost item, the use of which is reflected in the price.

For the size of the pub and car park it was a surprise to find only 2 marked disabled bays. Considering the access road directly opposite the entrance is used for parking albeit NOT a marked area could this not heen used as designated blue badge bays?

The food was exceptional (Venison) cooked to perfection. the wine complimented the meat perfectly ( as advised by the staff). The service and knowledge from the staff was first rate. HOWEVER, Customers this evening weren’t great.. a large group dominated the bar and pushed other customers to the back of the queue. You also had a small group of guys sat in the best seat in the house who did not buy a single drink. Can’t be helped by the pub, but hopefully those guys might read this, please support your local pub and buy something if you want to get enjoy the surrounds, especially over such a long period of time. Spending customers walked in and walked out in a busy period because there was no where to sit, perhaps you could find a different space to catch up if you aren’t eating or drinking to enable the pub to increase their takings?

Bath Rd, MaidenheadHad my first ever visit here last night, and had a fantastic time, i had the brie wedges for starter, fish and chips for main, and sticky toffee pudding for dessert, and it was all great, big portions, all warm, especially the sticky toffee pudding which is easily the best i've had, so no complaints as food goes
Customer service was great too, being saturday evening, it was quite busy but i still but me and my family still recieved great service and felt properly looked after from first entry to the end of our visit
Overall, had an amazing first visit and will definitely return
Only thing is the the music could maybe be turned up a bit, but apart from that it was great

2 Ray Mead Rd, MaidenheadWe visited here on a quiet early evening, the food was good but not amazing. We ordered the king prawn pad Thai which was nice. Also the chicken and cashew nuts, (I preferred the barbecue chicken from another time). Duck with pancakes was good and so was the mango dessert.
Prawn crackers were nice too but shame they charge for it.
I found it to be expensive for what it is.

I ordered the seafood pasta and my husband ordered the carbonara with a garlic bread side, the food arrived hot, they both were generous portions with lots of seafood in my pasta, so much flavour and the garlic bread was delicious. This is definitely our go to Italian, especially for a home date night. Thank you for a lovely dinner.

Beautiful interior that is starting to look a bit tired but doesn’t take away from the fun my toddler has here. Staff were so considerate in helping to adapt a meal for my toddler’s allergies. We stayed in Bisham for a night and wanted some nice take away , so we decided to go to this place after reading all the good reviews about it. So let's start from.... The staff was soooo friendly and the food was delicious:) The portions were really big and worth the price . We ordered a mix kebab which came with salad on the side plus large chips and hubby got a sample of fish (and his not a big fan of it) but he said the fish was really delicious and definitely he is a big fan now lol......So yeah ....we are definitely giving 5 ⭐ for everything and if we are in the area , 100% we'll be back ?? .Thank you once again for such a great food ?Parking: Parking got 4 bays just on the side of the place . It's 20 min free for costumers, when we get there all 4 were empty so we had plenty of space to park

15 Gringer Hill, MaidenheadGreat local community pub owned by the locals for the locals. They have freshly made pizza on Friday night which excellent and chicken wings on Saturday also excellent. Live bands on Friday night. Plus they show all the football and rugby. Lovely staff and a friendly welcoming atmosphere. Nice garden at the back for when the weather is good. It has a great selection of beer and wines. Quiz night on a Thursday night which is very popular. It can be quiet mid week. Would highly recommend if you’re in the area and don’t want to go to the town centre. The beer pricing is also very reasonable. Check it out.

12 Harrow Ln, MaidenheadI’ve been meaning to write this review for a long time and regret not doing it sooner, I have been eating here for about 10 years it is hands down my favourite Chinese takeaway not just in Maidenhead but favourite I have ever had anywhere, nothing lives up to Lobster pot for me. Anyone I’ve introduced to Lobster pot absolutely love it and always want to go back. Their salt and pepper chicken bites are SO delicious (I order mine with no chilli and extra garlic), their prawn toast is thick and so full of prawns, their mixed starter is so great to try a bit of everything, honestly everything is so delicious, fast service, the food is always piping hot which I LOVE and it’s so affordable for the portion sizes. I wish they did delivery because I’d order this every week but as I don’t drive I come here sparingly since I’ve moved (maybe that’s a good thing or I would genuinely be the size of a house with the amount I like to order) I love it so much and hope it never changes

XXL is vastly bigger than anything else available and the quality DEMOLISHES everyone else's. The numpties rating low on here are likely those who don't have a job.

5B St Marks Cres, MaidenheadWe got a take away as we were feeling lazy and as a friend had recommended Haka we gave it a try. We had a mix of bits and loved everything we got, we ordered three rice and were surprised to find that they give big portions of rice rather than the small ones some restaurants do. We’ll be going back as we enjoyed the food and the quick turn around time too - about 10/15 minutes. Be warned you have to pay with cash so make sure to take some.Parking: Plenty of in street parking by the shop.

Oh My Cod
39 Wootton Way, MaidenheadI’ve been coming here for 7–8 years, and I can honestly say this is the best fish and chip shop I’ve ever been to – and that’s after trying the famous places like Listen Grove. My wife is a chef, and we even run our own food establishment, yet we’ve never had fish and chips this good anywhere.
We’re here every single week. The only downside? It’s far too addictive – the whole family loves it, and we can never get enough.
The chips are perfection: double-fried, golden and crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. The fish is always huge – so big it easily feeds more than one person (and I train hard at the gym, so I don’t say that lightly!). The freshness, the crunch, and the flavour are just mind-blowing every single time.
On top of that, the service is fantastic, the shop is spotless, and there’s always easy parking. It ticks every single box.
Honestly, I can’t recommend Oh My Cod enough. If you think you know good fish and chips, come here – it will completely reset the standard for you.

53 High St, MaidenheadWe really love Cafe Nero, I think they serve the best drinks in town, quite hot enough to enjoy the drink. There is a wide selection of sandwiches, served hot or cold. Variety of cakes available. The staff are friendly and helpful. The environment was kept clean, all tables were clean & ready for incoming customers. I highly recommend everyone to come and them out.

The food was fairly standard Toby fare so plenty to go around with a full choice of meats and vegetarian options plus a few extra trimmings. For the size of the pub and car park it was a surprise to find only 2 marked disabled bays. Considering the access road directly opposite the entrance is used for parking albeit NOT a marked area could this not heen used as designated blue badge bays?

The rooms are great spacious and very clean. I was unable to eat the food due to being a strict diet however it all looked fantastic. Would 100% recommend and if back the area will certainly book again,

Clearly food will feature somewhere on your list and in the case of The Waterside this takes the form of classic French cooking. Nothing is “deconstructed” or designed to surprise. You know exactly what you’re getting from the menu and if you’ve visited previously you probably even know what you’re going to order before you arrive. Nothing is intended to shock.
Far too many restaurants at all levels feature a talented kitchen team let down by their front of house. From the moment you arrive here everyone knows what they are doing and wants to make your visit as enjoyable as they possibly can. They’re not trying to trip you up, you don’t have to be fluent in gastronomy or know anything about malolactic fermentation. The sommelier is there to help, not to test. No one is judging you although I’d be lying if said we didn’t people watch our fellow diners a little.
You are family when dining at The Waterside, it’s not in any way stuffy or starched. That’s not to suggest service is casual, seamless would be my best description with teams assembling when required to reveal your next course before melting away again to leave you to your conversation. The Waterside is a happy place.
My memory of the venue is that it’s a bit dated, the phrase “Chinese restaurant” was used as we drove there but things have quietly evolved. It’s actually quite smart these days. The bathrooms are modern and fresh, the soft furnishings crisp and comforting with a nod to the history of the venue. Let us not forget this is an institution woven into the fabric of British restaurant history.

My friend is a vegetarian and she had plenty of choice. The nduja prawn starter was sublime. Portions to perfection on all dishes. The chefs have really nailed their flavour combinations and presentation. This restaurant provides the perfect balance of elevated real Italian food whilst remaining humble and comforting. What a good decision that turned out to be! The Indian food is just superb - very possibly the best we've ever had. Amazingly good value too, especially for that part of the world. The Fat Duck
High St, Bray, MaidenheadThe Fat Duck is an exceptional restaurant we had a really great time.
Many of the dishes are famous so for a lot of guests there’s no surprises but you will still really appreciate the dishes as they very much taste as you would imagine them. The standard of cooking is extremely high and this is mixed with fun and invention.
The pace of the service was on point and our drinks pairing was fabulous as well as immaculately served up in the most precise way.
It is also the type of restaurant that goes out of it's way to accommodate dietary requirements and allergies, we don't have any but you could tell they make every effort to accommodate most people.
Would we come back? Yes absolutely.
Somethings that could be improved.
The tasting menu - like many other high end restaurants- suffers from lacking enough carbs and people don’t really want to address this by filling up with bread. This can mean that many eaters still feel hungry and though this could be helped by increasing some portion sizes, the main culprit is the lack of carbs on the menu. The most satisfying tasting menus will make people feel well fed before dessert and happier about their experience bearing in mind how much they are paying. Maybe it feels like the type of menu that makes it difficult to integrate carbs into that feel suitable, but that’s an interesting puzzle and shows some space to evolve into. When people complain that they felt hungry after such a meal, they’re not missing the point, being old fashioned etc, they are absolutely right. A lack of carbs is the main gap here.
The only other thing is that we only had finally grated Truffles on our Walk in The Woods whilst this dish is widely presented with a few thin grated Truffle pieces too, this made us feel that this dish was missing something that we had paid for. The dish was still fantastic and we appreciate dishes will vary but it's a bit problematic when you have seen the dish before adorned with generous slices of Truffles which is a higher cost item, the use of which is reflected in the price.

Seasonality - Modern Neighbourhood Restaurant - Dine at Home Boxes
26 Queen St, MaidenheadJust had another fabulous lunch at Seasonality. Six of us went and, without exception, we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The standard of the cooking here is excellent. The food is always contemporary and different without being too out there which is a difficult balance. No foams or soil here, just skilled presentation of great ingredients. The short wine list is well priced for the quality. What could be improved? the chair cushions are lumpy and not comfortable and it would have been good to have had our coats taken off us rather than having to hang them on our chairs. Small points but both would add to a better arrival experience. All in all a great lunch in an unpretentious place.

I ordered the seafood pasta and my husband ordered the carbonara with a garlic bread side, the food arrived hot, they both were generous portions with lots of seafood in my pasta, so much flavour and the garlic bread was delicious.
