We’re on our summer holiday from Glasgow , myself, my husband, and our two kids and were looking for somewhere special for dinner. The staff at Odney recommended Malik’s on High Street, Cookham, and wow… what an amazing experience!
From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by Shaz, who truly went above and beyond. He spoiled us with the best service, taking time to explain the dishes and recommend options that turned out to be absolutely delicious. The food was outstanding, bursting with flavour, beautifully presented, and easily some of the best Indian cuisine we’ve ever had.
It was the little touches that made the evening extra special: warm towels after the meal, a sweet treat to finish, and genuine hospitality throughout. Shaz and the rest of the team at Malik’s deliver nothing short of top-class service.
If you’re in Cookham and want an unforgettable dining experience, I can’t recommend Malik’s highly enough. Thank you, Shaz and team, keep up the amazing work! You really spoiled us. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Absolutely loved visiting this place whilst on business. My fave go to place whenever visiting the Maidenhead office. Excellent first class service always. Superb food. Often used to travel solo, whether visiting this place alone or with customers it was always first class. Will be booking an anniversary weekend away in October, will definitely be reserving a table.

Ali is the best! Best service and kindest person. The food here is stellar… you can’t get a better curry elsewhere. They make an incredible prawn green curry that is to die for. Literally an explosion of flavours in your mouth that will keep you returning.

Wow. First time here and what can I say. The food was simply amazing. Best Indian food I've ever eaten. Never been to an Indian and had duck that falls apart. And the monkfish main was perfectly cooked. I will be hurrying back at the next available opportunity. Beautiful place as well. Service was fine. Nothing amazing but can't argue with it either. But visit this place if you can.
As for the people that complain about the bill being written on a peace of paper (which I've seen many). This is how they work it out. Why leave a bad review for this? As long as you can read then why make this an issue
So I had dinner with friends at Malik's before Christmas which I was so looking forward to. I ordered the Chicken Jalfrazy which was very dry and a boiled rice for my main course which did n't taste that great. The sauce was not very good and very dry. I had the meal and afterwards came over very unwell at the table. I had hot sweats and then was violently vomiting and passed out. So badly my friends called for an ambulance. They eventually had to drive me to Wrexham Park hospital where I was unwell until 3:00am in the morning. I had aggressive food poisoning or an aggressive reaction to something in the food. No Manager or waiting staff came over to see if I was ok and I was disgusted at this. I'm so grateful my friends were with me to help me. I won't be eating here again any time soon. Thank you.

We had an incredibly frustrating experience at Malik’s Cookham. After our meal where we had our client and our team with us. Post dinner, we politely requested a VAT bill, but instead of receiving a proper receipt, the owner handed us a handwritten note on a blank piece of paper. When we questioned this, his response was shocking—he became extremely rude and abusive. Rather than addressing our concerns professionally, he started yelling at us and insulting us. It was not only unprofessional but completely disrespectful. It’s clear that the owner has no regard for customer service or basic decency. I will never return and strongly advise others to avoid this place at all costs.

A HUGE thank you to Malik who put on a delicious Indian spread for the Cookham 1st Beavers. Was so amazing to see many of the the Beavers try a Curry for the first time...then keep coming back for me. Out of the 40+ Beavers, they all tried and loved Malik's beautiful food. Thanks so much Malik!!!
