Well cooked food, friendly bar staff and good table service. The team working at The Bear set an example for pubs to follow!

Can't go wrong with a Spoons. They had the delicious Rebellion Winter Royal on to top it off.

Staff friendly and helpful, food good quality spoons and buzzy atmosphere inside.

??? The Bear in Maidenhead High Street has been here forever and is probably the most famous landmark in the entire town other than the townhall itself! Weatherspoons do this stunning establishment perfectly with a great selection of beers ales stouts and lagers. There's an excellent food menu, and it's just one of those places that takes you back in time (for me to my 20s when it was a hot spot for the social circuit!). The staff are friendly and welcoming. Just drop in and enjoy!Wheelchair accessibility: ♿️ Wide entrance for wheelchair access.

Been going here for year's now and Eddie The Manager really is putting that magic touch to the Bear! Every weekend the service and the food just gets better & better..... along with the amazing polished copper table's so shiny you could read the menu off the refection! ( See Pic ) Keep up the amazing work and looking forward to coming back asap!

You know what Wetherspoons is, not trying to be something it's not, decent food although portions could be a bit bigger, great range of beers at decent

If you are looking for awful food, shockingly bad service, zero atmosphere and a sticky floor, then this is the place!

It's s chain... what were you expecting? Prices are great, but you get what you pay for. If you like to drink, this is a good place to start

Absolutely appalling Asked 5 f***ing for our deserts to come out. I ordered extra custard, first , they brought my desert still in the wrapper, second I asked twice for spoons , third I asked for a plate , then twice I requested the extra custard I ordered The manager came , didn't resolve f**k all other than give a refund and he states the extra custard was on the other desert Don't visit this dive unless you have to AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID

Absolutely disgusting service from the male server and manager on shift this evening.I ordered food through the app - I asked if the server could provide me with allergen information regarding the side salad sauce (I have coeliac disease and this is not on the allergen menu) the server refused to help me in any way, saying that it’s “company policy” to not give out any allergen information. I then approached the bar where I heard him bad mouthing me to the manager who said “well I’m not going to give her any information either”. In the end I asked to see the sauce bottle and the manager acted as if this was a huge inconvenience rather than a simple task. Ridiculous.

Main issue is bar manager or senior bar person pouring doubles when we never asked for them! His reply was you didn’t ask for a single! Never heard such rubbish! He needs some training! Both rounds he did doubles but did not tell us! Came to light after! We could have been driving and 4 shorts instead of 2 would have pushed the driver over the legal limit!! Absolutely terrible service and behaviour! Be careful!

Accidentally ordered a beef Masada we I found out that i did they won’t let me have a refund which I understand I was willing to order and pay for another curry but the manager was like you have what you pay for and didn’t want to offer or let me have another order so went back to my table and order tho the app, two minutes after he came up to my table and said what do you want to do with the beef Masada bare in mind people I know including in allergic to Masada so told him to throw it way.Would of been nice if he sorted all of that at the bar and asked would you like to make another order and just left the Masada in the kitchen without me even asking

I've never been to this pub before and I most certainly won't do it ever again. I had a beer and went back to the bar for another. The bar staff could see me waiting yet no one came to serve me. When they did, the girl said we serve from over there pointing to another part of the bar. I explained I wasn't a local and there aren't any signs to indicate 'service only' anywhere in the bar area. It fell on deaf ears and she then said "All guest ales are off". I'm extremely tolerant but, this experience was very poor indeed. It wasn't a good customer experience to say the least.

Food not to a good standard service was below what was expected. Dirty area upstairs every table not cleared of previous plates and rubbish. The American burger very disappointing and the American pancakes were a ripp of the ice cream with it was equivalent to a half a teaspoon. The whole place needs a very good clean and new furniture and decor.
