Ate here with family on a Sunday. The pub is lovely, and we were greeted with a warm welcome. Being a Sunday we all ordered the roast which was absolutely amazing. Generous portions - the beef and pork were amazing.The serving staff were great, really attentive and friendly. Cannot recommend enough.

Really warm welcome and fantastic food. We loved the marmite butter even though none of us liked marmite, croquettes amazing, fantastic roast and delicious rhubarb pudding. Great wine list too!

Came here for a memorial lunch for a dear friend. Service was fantastic, food even better. Great, quiet atmosphere. Dog friendly. Loved it.

Our first visit for lunch on 29th Dec and we will definitely return for a deeper dive soon. We chose two beautifully executed and balanced dishes, slow cooked beef and butternut squash with puy lentils, and pickled rings of red onion. The chips were perfectly cooked and seasoned and the shared side dish of buttered greens was generous. Very attractive room decoration (still Christmas season), spacious tables and excellent service. We didn't have wine today but noted the selection by the glass looked interesting and varied. A quick coffee and we were back on the road. Always glad to find a friendly, skilled, independent restaurant doing great work at a fair price within 30 mins drive from our home

Celebrated my father's 80th birthday yesterday and the whole experience was fabulous. Food was delicious, the service friendly and efficient. The staff were very friendly even when letting us know we had used up our 3 hour slot. Apologies to anyone who was waiting for us to leave ?
