Booked a table on their own website for the Trevi restaurant, which offered various times. so I selected 7pm and booked. I received a call at 5;00pm saying they weren't open. With all the online booking systems there are this is poor.

Just tried to book a table online, got a gobbldygook email then a phone call saying they closed down in May. Which is odd as theres a review from last week below mine.

We had a lovely lunch by the river yesterday. Kenan and Esmee did a fantastic job making our experience lovely.

One is regular of this place. Always been welcomed by the staff. Having a Italian dinner in the house, their Linguine Allo Scoglio is excellent. I tried the Spaghetti Carbonara this time and find it just a touch lack creamy flourish. Still one recommend the place much.

Restaurant is nice and the waitress helpful. However the food is dreadful. My husband had a garlic mushroom bruschetta to start, it tasted of nothing, no garlic almost like boiled mushroom, I tasted it and had to agree and sent it back. I ordered the Crudaiola PizzaTomato Sauce, Fresh Mozzarella, Rocket, Parma Ham, Parmesan Shavings & Cherry Tomatoes. Hard to cut and the tomatoes were raw and no mozzarella. Finally cut through it and it was stone cold. The bottom of the pizza was black and was obviously burnt. My husband tasted it and we agreed to send it back. He cut into his fish and it had a real bad smell it looked grey and the battered was aneamic. He gave me a little bit of the fish and I had to spit it out into a tissue. So both meals were sent back. Very disappointing exerperience as this was the first time out after 8 weeks after an operation. The bill came for the bottle of wine but the starters had been added to it so had to get the bill amended. Happy to pay for the bottle of wine. After been given a menu we were disappointed to find that the actual prices in the restaurant are significantly higher than those advertised on the website. We would hope that this is a clerical error rather than a deliberate tactic to get people into the restaurant. More care should be taken to ensure the website reflects accurate prices being charged. We noticed that our comments on the food were not communicated to the chef. Without a complaints process in place that details the complaint and feeds that back to the chef and management it is difficult to see how improvements can be made.

The food at Trevi is always good, but the restaurant is hardly ever busy and therefore lacks atmosphere. I don't see why this place is always lacking in customers when the food and prices are spot onParking: Parking available

great food, huge portions, & Lily was our 5* waitress, Seemed to be single-handedly running the front of house. Fit us in at short notice with no fuss and a smile even though we could tell she was busy. service with a smile. wished all staff in hospitality were like her- we would employ her in a heartbeat if we were local . If you are the boss & reading this - give her a pay rise!

I have to admit I didn't expect much, looking at the restaurant through the frosted glass windows from the hotel reception, as it didn't seem particularly inviting or welcoming. I was met quickly by a friendly waitress and seated at a nice corner table. It was an early evening week night so the restaurant wasn't overly busy when I arrived but steadily got busier and busier as the night went on. The large woodfired pizza oven a main focus in the room, next to the open pass provided something for me to watch whilst I waited. I ordered calamari to start, unfortunately nothing overly special and I'd guess of the frozen variety, but nice enough either way and not overcooked. For mains I ordered the chicken Trevi, a chicken breast on sautéed new potatoes in a pepper and chorizo sauce. A huge mountain when it arrived, I regretted having a starter, but soon proved to be very tasty. Chicken breast was well cooked , the peppers and chorizo complimented it well to give a Spanish type feel to the dish. Overall enjoyed it and would happily visit again.

Food was perfect and so were the ladies on service. Very accommodating, even bringing out a cold plate to use for my almost 2 year old son to allow his food to cool for him faster without me even asking. Which may be random, but it can be very difficult trying to eat your own dinner while simultaneously trying to cool your children's so it doesn't burn they're mouth and trying to help them eat it at the same time! But again, they girls were lovely and the food was great, will definitely be back again

I liked the lamb, but some other people on my table did not finish their pizzas.

My wife and I had a superb meal at Trevi Italian restaurant in the Thames hotel. The food was excellent, my sea bass was really good. On a quiet Sunday evening, service was efficient and friendly and the atmosphere very welcoming.
