“The bar area is brilliant, well designed and comfortable, more intimate than the restaurant area, so a great area to start and finish the evening.The dining area is slightly contrasting to the bar, spacey and airy and simple, but still a well designed and high quality space.The service is high end and staff attentive and friendly.Great rich flavours in the mushroom risotto and again, same said of the patè, both excellent.The duck main was tender, however, the skin wasn't crispy.Again, good flavour.The venison I really struggled with.Almost impossible to cut (a steak knife would have been useful) and I found it difficult to chew.Probably left a third of the meat as I just couldn't swallow it in the end.The rest of the accompanying food was excellent.Worth visiting for a lot of reasons but at the prices charged, I would expect it to be close to perfect.”

“Wonderful stay at Crab & Boar. Unfortunately we had booked through a large hotel booking website who had messed up the booking however the staff here were excellent, very patiently dealing with the situation, facilitating the re-booking on our behalf and passing on a discount in the process.The rooms were very well appointed with our own private patios (we had two rooms) and quality teas and coffees on hand. The food was excellent, as was the service, and the fact it was dog friendly meant our daughter and partner could stay a little longer without worrying about getting back, while also taking advantage of nearby Snelsmore Common which is a haven for dog walkers and families alike.I would highly recommend Crab & BoarFood & drinks: Dinner in the restaurant was excellent with each of us having different meals, all cooked beautifully. Breakfast the following morning was hearty and even included an additional sausage for the dog!!”

“Had a lovely family dinner at Cobrizo Lounge with the wife, two kids, brother and sister-in-law and their dog. Have eaten here before and wouldn't hesitate to come back. As my Bro and SiL are both vegans it can sometimes be a struggle to find somewhere that offers a decent range of options and in this regard CL excels as it offers a very comprehensive Vegan (as well as Gluten-free) menu. All the dishes served were really tasty and the staff welcoming and attentive without being overbearing. The ambience is wonderful as well with an eclectic range of furnishings and decor and a good range of games and activities to keep the kids (& adults) amused. A great place that offers great food and service at reasonable prices and it's reassuring to see it well supported by customers. Hopefully it will stay open for a long time as I really want to go back.Kid-friendliness: Great for kids with books and games to keep them amused and adults sane.”
