Really disappointing meal. The cheese soufflé lacked flavour and the beef bourguignon lacked any flavour. I had to send my vet expensive and fatty ribeye back to be reheated, which was clearly done in the microwave as there was blood on the plate. We were there for less than an hour in total for a two course meal. Really disappointed.

We visited Cote Newbury yesterday to celebrate my mother in laws birthday. I booked Cote on the recommendation of a colleague not having eaten there for a long time or anywhere else in central Newbury, I now have to say it won’t be so long before visiting again. I wanted it to feel special but relaxed and both boxes were ticked along with delicious food and beautifully chilled cremant. We share starters of cheese gougeres and smoked salmon croquettes which were lovely, then my mother in law had mushroom quiche and I had tomate tarte fine both of which were beautifully presented and yummy too! Service was friendly, attentive and professional, definitely adding to the atmosphere and ambiance. We had no room for desserts so ended with coffee. Thank you to Adam and all the team, the fact that the restaurant was busy was testament to the food, service and vibe.

We decided to go there to celebrate our anniversary & it was brilliant ! A friendly young waiter took us to a table & gave us some menus. I had the lamb followed by chocolate mousse & my better half had the Breton fish stew followed by almond cake with berries & icecream, plus drinks & coffee. All the food was sooooo tasty & cooked to perfection. The waiter, Sam, although new to his job was friendly, courtious and a great asset to the restaurant. We had a great evening & can highly recommend this restaurant. Well done to all ??

I celebrated my 50th birthday party in the private dining area. The service and food were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and Kayleigh our waitress was amazing, thank you!

Really poor brunch. Not as good as it once was! Had to send back my eggs Benedict as half the ham was just fat and the eggs were under cooked. New dish arrived and wasn’t much better, just happened to be on a super hot plate. Had to ask three times for our frites. Staff were poor at clearing the table. Waiters apologised but no sign of managers coming to check on us, just told when we were given the bill that the eggs Benedict had been take off. This is the third time in a row we’ve been disappointed at Cote Newbury, so will not be going back!

Absolutely delicious! My husband and I ate here two nights in a row. The food was fresh, prepared to order and delicious! I had the Squash Taboulle and my husband had the sea bass. Sooo good! The staff was very kind. Ben, one of the managers, was especially friendly. He took the time to talk with us about our meal and travel experiences. Definitely go! Love it!

Food was amazing, as was the service from our waitress Cheyenne! My crab starter was a bit watery and hence a bit lacking in flavour, however my husbands chicken liver parfait and our mains, port belly and boeuf burgegnon were beautiful.

One of my favorite restaurants in the city. I've been here many times just for fun and for family holidays. delicious onion soup, snacks and chocolate fandan dessert, delicious coffee and tea. The staff is very nice, always smiling and friendly

This is a really nice chain of restaurants with reliably good food. I'm vegetarian and can recommend the mushroom quiche with chips. Service was swift and friendly and the prices were good. Recommended.
A good value place for a nice sit down lunch with attentive service and rather tasty food. The prices aren't too bad either.

I'd like to give you a 5. The food was very nice indeed. The staff accomodating and friendly and the bill was not expensive. However, the state of the toilet I used was not good. No toilet paper and nothing to dry your hands with. For a restaurant, that's unacceptable. It was obvious to me that no staff had been to check in a long time.

CARD ONLY, because of Covid ? pushing the digital new world order 2030 communist agenda. Wake up people. Last time I will ever eat there after finding out NO CASH which is legal tender and they can not refuse it. Got the order wrong on two meals then waited 30 minutes for one cold pudding order. A humid day and air conditioning was broken near us. Not told about this until mid meal and asking. Several other people using menus to fan themselves.

We've been a few times and have always had great food and service.That said, on our last visit a couple of weeks ago our waiter seemed to only want to engage with me and not my partner, even when it was her who was paying. So that was disappointing.Other than this one experience we've loved going to Côte Newbury and will chalk off the one less than stellar experience to a one off and try again another time.
