Went for Sunday lunch with my Granddaughter. Really friendly staff, great food, enormous portions and good service. Dog friendly, good value. Will definitely return.

We came here on a busy Friday evening without a booking, but got a table in a nice room almost to ourselves. We had some very tired children with us causing a bit of a hassle. But the staff were remarkably understanding and patient and made the children feel welcome. The menu is quite extensive and we each had some lovely meals, served with a smile. I am grateful for the marvellous service and we will surely come back.

Family reunion meal, some of the party were delayed and the staff stayed on to sort us out, made an amazing meal. The meal was our only time together in months as one of the family live overseas, so the staff, service and food made the get together perfect. Thank you so much, especially around Christmas time when I know the place is super busy! We will be back soon! Also very dog friendly, which was fab!

Met some friends here for lunch. A very welcoming atmosphere, an interesting and well-priced menu and good staff. Our food was very good and we were looked after brilliantly by Imogen who was lovely, knowledgable and efficient! We will certainly return!

Had a family Christmas meal on Thursday. Great staff, food was lovely (we all ate from the festive menu) and the portion sizes were generous. We just picked The Swan as a random meeting place for a far flung family and glad we did. Absolutely recommend it and will return. Very well organised and didn't wait long for our food.

There is so much character and ambience here. Really cosy and intimate. The owners and staff are all very welcoming and friendly. Great range of Badger beers. Luckily, this is also my "local". I look forward to the new year when all the "once a year" Xmas customers have stopped causing problems and are gone for another 12 months. ?

After finding out you had a festive menu for a decent price I booked a table for myself and a friend who came up from Bournemouth. We were both looking forward to our lunch but when we arrived we were told the festive menu had to be pre-booked, this was not on the website or the festive menu which I downloaded. We were both obviously very disappointed and left to eat somewhere else. Really think in future that the festive menu should mention food needs to be pre-booked.

We have just left this pub after having one of the best lunches we’ve ever had. The food was amazing and they certainly don’t scrimp on anything! The service was fantastic with very attentive and friendly staff. We will definitely be returning soon A*

Me and my partner booked a table for 2 for Sunday lunch. We arrived on time and were promptly shown to our table. Unfortunately this is when things started going a bit wrong.It took 25 minutes and we had to almost grab a member of the team to get them to come to our table to take any form of order. The gentleman who did eventually take our order did apologies for the delay and our drinks came quickly thenThis wasn't the end of the issues though sadly, our food arrived and was very tasty but the side order we had ordered did not follow until 10 minutes after everything else. We also asked for some sauces but these never arrived.It's a shame the service was so painfully slow and any time a member of staff came to our table they just dumped things and ran away as quickly as they could.

Visited many years ago and it was terrible, vowed never to go back. However, on a recommendation we had Sunday lunch and it couldn’t have been more different. Food was really nice, staff were friendly and efficient and the setting was really well decorated. A charming atmosphere. The young man who served us, Will, deserves a mention. He was polite, friendly and efficient, a real asset to the place. Also, the owner, who let me sample his real ales, in jolly and friendly manner. We plan to go back in the new year. Well done, very enjoyable.
