I don’t really have high expectations of a hungry horse, so this was a pleasant surprise. Food came out quickly and was hot and tasty. My only gripe was considering how busy it was, every time I went to the bar to order, there was a queue of at least two or three people, which was frustrating. Apart from that we had an enjoyable lunch

We had booked a table for a family of 5. 2 adults kids of 14, 5 and 3. We were shown to our table. We get up the high chair and settled down to look over the menu. At about 2.20 we made our way to the bar and ordered no issues. After returning to our seats the waitress was moving 2 tables on to the end of ours to make one long table. She then placed reserved signs on the other 2 tables and ours showing the tables were reserved at 3. This was about 2.25. I asked what was going on and she said our table was booked for 3. I stated we had only just ordered food and was hoping not to be rushed. She stated they were very busy with bookings and walked off. Unbelievable. We have only been given a table for 1 hour. After discussing this with my wife I decided to speak to the waitress. I explained it was 2.35 out food had not arrived and we don’t want to feel rushed. We wanted to enjoy a family dinner. She then said at 3 she would have to find us another table so we would need to move my family, plates and drinks to another part of the restaurant “if she can find space”. I informed her this is awful customer service and we are not being moved from one table to another for the simple fact they can’t manage there bookings. She was not pleased but said ok. She decided to move the 2 other tables on to the end of another couple still eating. The second the couple had placed the cutlery on there mostly empty places she swooped in and took them. Clearly wanting them gone for her important 3pm table Best part is the table never showed. That is an awful way to treat people and will not be returning. The food was also poor being over cook and having meats missed. I hope the manager sorts out there booking system and treats customers better

Popped in on my own when my car wouldn’t start for a tea on Wed 13th Dec about 1pm. Just feel that the atmosphere and the staff were just lovely. All seemed happy and friendly.

We had a great experience for the Santa breakfast, the staff were attentive and the food was nice. Good value for money and would definitely return!

We meet up once a year with friends for the festive menu, it was very good service by Stella, Maria, Claire and Shannon. There was 12 of us and we all enjoyed the food. I'm very organised and have it all printed out with what everyone was eating and money left to pay. Stella was very impressed and wanted me to work for them lol

I would recommend this place we have been last 2 weeks for Friday lunch. Food is fantastic and their deals are great lovely environment apparently dogs are welcome as long as house trained. Staff are great and attentive , Kerry deserves a five star all to herself so chirpy and freidnly. Devo recommend this place .we are now regularly going at least once a week.

Always use to be hit and miss visiting but last 4 times going recently been really nice quick friendly service i believe name kerry who was on the till chatty,bubbly and welcoming .food is good for what you pay people forget 5 stars comes with 5 stars prices this is quick filling food lovely experience My advise if you want good price filling grub go iv been last two days both great

We decided to visit Victoria Cross after a basketball match. It is our usual and favourite family pub. We ordered food and drinks for 2 adults and 3 children. Shannon served us as always. She is always cheerful and helpful. Nothing is ever too much for her

Went on a Sunday evening with the family for dinner, we originally ordered the roast beef roast but was told it was sold out inspite of it only being 5:30pm we settled for the turkey alternative instead. When it arrived it was a disgusting microwave meal that bore no resemblance to the photo on the menu! We were unfortunately seated underneath a air conditioning unit which was blowing out cold air when we queried this we were told the thermostat had been altered and there was nothing more they could do! For dessert we ordered two “candy mania” ice creams to share, what we received was four individual desserts the excuse being they had run out of big glasses. During our visit at no time did anybody ask if everything was alright with our meal and no dirty plates were cleared meaning we had a table full of dirty plates while trying to eat our desserts. The menu listed the contents of the desserts and what we were served seemed to be missing a number of items. Has the place had a recent change of management because the establishment seems to have gone right down hill! In all we would like to say our visit was a great disappointment and would NOT recommend to any one else!!

Lovely time with great staff definitely the likes of Rhi the manager who was extremely professional and helpful and cheery and made me and my wife very welcome. Claire was also very friendly and polite regarding the service. Would definitely return as the food was delicious and dinks were on point.
