The entire staff are so warm and welcoming, service couldn't be better. We had complimentary prawn crackers that were very nice and flavourful. We starters and mains were all delicious. Would recommend anything on the menu! The mocktails and other drinks were nice too and everything was fairly priced!

100 Royal Ave., Calcot, ReadingI’ve been coming to the Avenue Deli for the last year and a half. I’ve never been disappointed with either the staff and the service, or the food. I’ve tried a number of things on the menu and have settled on one or two “go-to” breakfasts. The classic English breakfast is abundant, but my favourite has to be the Brekky Naan - a naan bread wirh bacon, sausage and eggs with masala beans and chutney - it is great!
I’m always greeted when I arrive and feel very at home. It’s somewhere I always take friends to if we are looking for a bite to eat or just a coffee.
Well worth a visit!

It's only a few hundred feet from the train station, in cool looking brick building. Staff was very kind and the place was clean all around. Everything I tried was incredibly delicious and clearly made with a lot of care. The pecan pie was absolutely amazing - easily one of the best desserts I’ve had in a long time! The tofu salad bowl was also super tasty, fresh, and full of flavour.
The staff are friendly and welcoming - prices are a bit on the higher side, but honestly the quality of the food makes it completely worth it. You can really taste the difference. I’ll definitely be coming back the next time I’m in Reading!

Sides were disappointing, onion rings had lots of uncooked batter, halloumi was slightly overcooked, the chips weren't crispy and fresh as they normally are and the chef by the fryers kept wiping his hands on the hood of the extraction whilst eating behind the line which is not a good look.. the fingerprints are clearly visible all along the vent.

I looked around online and thought I hadn't eaten Thai food in a while so thought I'd see what there was\n\nEasy to find location, looks like it was an old Pub of some sort.\n\nDidn't need a reservation, friendly waitress approached immediately and found me a table in the corner. \n\nI ordered straight away - I got the vegan Green Curry, and the prawn toast. Unfortunately, the only downside is that if you want rice you have to order that separately, and of course that costs a bit extra.\n\nThe food arrived within probably less than 10 minutes and was delicious! I ate everything. \n\nThe place wasn't too busy and the staff were very friendly and attentive.\n\nThe only reason I am giving a 4* rather than 5* is because of the price and they add a 20% service charge on the end which wasn't mentioned on the menu (or maybe I didn't see that piece of information).\n\nWould recommend it to any people visiting Reading and would come again.\n\nAlso they turned off the lights to sing happy birthday to a customer with a cake which was sweet\n\nKop Kun Krab!

We managed to get someone’s attention where a very kind employee spoke to us and asked us what we wanted. We ordered lamb kebabs, and he made it all from fresh. When he gave us our food he actually threw in a free extra lamb kebab as well! Not only was the food delicious, but that employee there was super kind and generous. Fantastic service and food, I have no choice but to give 5 stars.

She was attentive, kind, and had such a lovely energy. I noticed she was also training a new girl, and even from watching them, I ended up learning a few new things like the table numbers and amazed how nicely the Wagamama system works! I would like to sincerely thank the team at SKVP Restaurant for their outstanding customer service.
I had placed a takeaway order which included Dabeli, but unfortunately it was unavailable. The team handled the situation exceptionally well by offering a lovely alternative and ensuring that I was more than satisfied with my order.
They kindly replaced the Dabeli with delicious Pav Bhaji and Vada Pav, and to make up for the inconvenience, they also included extra Samosa Chaat, Papdi Chaat, and a tasty Gajar Halwa. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and generously prepared.
What impressed me most was their willingness to go above and beyond to keep their customers happy. It's rare to see such thoughtful service these days, and it truly made a difference.
Thank you to the entire SKVP team for your kindness, generosity, and excellent food. I will definitely be ordering again and highly recommend SKVP Restaurant to anyone looking for authentic, delicious food and fantastic customer care.

Being honest didn't go in expecting anything amazing but even from first impression of the well written menu everything was great. All the food was amazing, the satay chicken starter was the best we've had and the Thai green curry with beef short rib was something else, was not expecting it to be served with a whole short rib that fell off the bone! Would highly recommend.

6 Prospect St, ReadingWe recently had a good experience at Spitiko Greek Restaurant in Reading. We visited on a Tuesday specifically to take advantage of their popular 2-for-1 main course promotion (where the cheaper main is free), which offers genuinely excellent value.
The dining room was understandably packed due to the promotion, and this heavily impacted the service speed. Our starters took a while to arrive, and the main dishes followed almost an hour after ordering. We were fine since we had starters, but other diners should be aware of this potential wait time when visiting on a Tuesday.
Despite the delay, the food was absolutely great. The portions are massive, providing fantastic value for money, even if the dishes are priced a little higher than average—they are absolutely worth it given the quantity and quality.
The only minor area for improvement was the wine selection; the offer felt quite limited, and we found that the staff lacked deep knowledge regarding the available wines.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The atmosphere was friendly, and the quality of the cooking shines through. We will certainly be back, but on a Tuesday, we'll make sure to settle in and be ready for a leisurely evening!

I’ve tried a number of things on the menu and have settled on one or two “go-to” breakfasts. The classic English breakfast is abundant, but my favourite has to be the Brekky Naan - a naan bread wirh bacon, sausage and eggs with masala beans and chutney - it is great!
I’m always greeted when I arrive and feel very at home. It’s somewhere I always take friends to if we are looking for a bite to eat or just a coffee.
Well worth a visit!

Everything I tried was incredibly delicious and clearly made with a lot of care. The pecan pie was absolutely amazing - easily one of the best desserts I’ve had in a long time! The tofu salad bowl was also super tasty, fresh, and full of flavour.
The staff are friendly and welcoming - prices are a bit on the higher side, but honestly the quality of the food makes it completely worth it. You can really taste the difference. I’ll definitely be coming back the next time I’m in Reading!

I would like to sincerely thank the team at SKVP Restaurant for their outstanding customer service.
I had placed a takeaway order which included Dabeli, but unfortunately it was unavailable. The team handled the situation exceptionally well by offering a lovely alternative and ensuring that I was more than satisfied with my order.
They kindly replaced the Dabeli with delicious Pav Bhaji and Vada Pav, and to make up for the inconvenience, they also included extra Samosa Chaat, Papdi Chaat, and a tasty Gajar Halwa. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and generously prepared.
What impressed me most was their willingness to go above and beyond to keep their customers happy. It's rare to see such thoughtful service these days, and it truly made a difference.
