A nice country pub atmosphere with large terrace for summer enjoyment. Easy going service and a good level of attention with a good menu selection. We had the Sunday roast. Definitely be back!

Big portions (burger), atmosphere is alright albeit a tad run down, however the staff and service were good which is what matters.Kid-friendliness: Good children's menu and high chairs available

The staff are friendly and very helpful, there are a number of interesting dishes on the menu. The food is excellent, and the beer and wines are very good. We went on a fine day and the views were phenomenal. The wheelchair access is on the main road where you cannot park - even stopping for the wheelchair user to get out is a bit dangerous. The route from the car park to the level access entrance is down a dangerously steep slope and up the pretty steep side road. But all told, a great place to eat

What a fantastic place! The Sunday Lunch was one of the best I've had in a really long time. Thanks to the Chef for making a special gravy for me and the rest of the team for the quality of service.

Lovely host who has just taken over the pub. Food was incredible and priced well. Chunky chips were spot on. Atmosphere was a little flat on a midweek lunch but seems well set up for large numbers.

Wow, this place is amazing, this place is highly recommended. Food was wonderful, clearly a very talented chef is in residence. Super accommodating and respectful in terms of the menu when it came to allergens. Staff were wonderful, super friendly as well. We will be back!Dietary restrictions: A clear, marked menu with gluten free options; they mentioned that they have a separate fryer for chips and separate preparation areas for gluten free. More places should take their example.

REALLY recommend this place. Went there for a Xmas party with 40 cyclists of “advancing years” (so a bit of forgetting what they’d ordered) arriving in wet kit (so lots of needing to hang / dry damp cycle clothing) and they did a really good job of making everyone comfortable and getting everyone served in good time and getting what I ordered. Plus when it was clear that, despite a couple of requests to the (younger and clearly not super experienced) staff for my extra veggies that they had, indeed, been forgotten, I spoke to the manager and he resolved it very quickly. The best bit is the Food! I eat a lot of pies and a the chicken and tarragon was without a doubt the best I’d ever had! absolutely delicious.Don’t be put off by the slightly wacky decor. Personally I think it gives it a fun family feel

Delicious food and very friendly staff. The beetroot and goats cheese salad was so tasty. We had a dog friendly table on one side of the pub which was cosy with a lovely open fire.

Fantastic location for a country stroll before or after a visit to the Elm Tree. You will mot be disappointed. Book well in advance for a weekend treat ? There was a warm welcome on arrival and a good selection of ? ? ? to choose from. Table service was prompt personable and informative. As it was Sunday, I went for the roast chicken. Wow ,they don't skimp on the portion sze . The chicken skin had a little crisp to it and well cooked and rested. Flavoursome, yes. Fab ? roasted spuds and all veg cooked to perfection. All brought together with a decent gravey. Sticky toffee pudding to finish ? plate picked clean ? ? All in all a good do was had by all. Tip ....if busy parking on site is limited, alternative parking is on the muddy verge . Thanks to the front of house staff for still smiling after entertaining over 130 covers and Ade and the kitchen staff for a very pleasant Sunday afternoon lunch ? and a lovely memory. ? I am looking forward to our next visit ? .Parking: Reasonable parking on site off-road parking available around the pub.
