Doesn't get better than Valpy in Reading. The food is absolutely to die for and the service is top notch. Even with multiple Christmas parties it wasn't even loud for our party of 5. I highly recommend the duck salad starter, Beef Cheeks, and Seafood Chowder. A+++ it was so good we totally forgot to take pictures!

We decided to venture to Valpy Street for our Team Christmas lunch, and despite none of us having dined there before, the enticing Seasonal menu convinced us it was worth a shot.To our delight, everyone left with nothing short of full marks, largely attributable to the exceptional quality of the food and drinks offered. The three-course meal was not only impeccably prepared but also thoughtfully paced and portioned.The staff played a significant role in our positive experience, proving incredibly accommodating to some last-minute changes and consistently checking in to ensure that everything exceeded our expectations.We were fortunate to secure the private dining space downstairs, which contributed to a wonderfully relaxed environment. This is certainly an experience we'll be recommending for future team gatherings. Valpy Street exceeded our expectations and left a lasting impression, making it a noteworthy choice for any occasion.

What a lovely place! This was our first time visiting and we weren’t sure what to expect, but we turned up find to the most cosy little restaurant, attentive staff, delicious wine and most importantly, fantastic food. Everyone in my group ate something different and it was all wonderful. Will be recommending to all my friends and definitely be back!
Valpy's is such a hidden gem and Andrew and the team are absolutely amazing. We had our wedding celebration meal for 50 people in November 23 and nothing was too much bother! The staff are amazing, food fabulous and the restaurant gorgeous; a perfect fit for the wedding we wanted to have All of our guests raved about the place and we're hopeful that Andrew will have gained some new customers!

We had an amazing night, tucked away in a corner, with lots of positive attention from the owner. Food was very good, especially the meatballs and the liver. Can't wait to find another excuse to come down. Only downside from my husband, there was no pole dancing ?

We came to Valpy St just for drinks and were super impressed by the service. The cocktails were expertly mixed and the wine choice was fantastic. The two waiters were really friendly and stayed on even when we were the last two customers. I would love to come back for food sometime.
