Afternoon tea was mediocre and the service was subpar. Even though they advertised the tea as “Halloween” there wasn’t really much Halloween about it and the menu online didn’t match completely to what received. Beside an attempt to write “RIP” on the brownies there was really nothing Halloween about this tea besides it was dead inside (and yet the servers never checked on us).

Stayed at stole place hotel for dinner bed and breakfast. Had a little wait in reception has no staff around but made their apologies when they did turn up. Not a big deal. Had table booked for 615 in the evening and member of staff was genuinely very pleasing and a nice, polite and welcoming person. Me and my wife had amazing, starters, mains and pudding. Nothing was rushed over cooked microwaved. Everything was absolutely perfect. Not one complaint really really good. Best lamb shank I’ve ever had and my wife said that her steak was the best she’d ever had really impressed. Puddings are amazing, too, and absolutely stuffed full Yet to have breakfast, but so far 10 out of 10 and will definitely come back

I have eaten here several times when visiting and the service is very good and the food is of a standard you would expect but prices reflect the building, they are on the high side of value for money.

Really lovely restaurant at Stoke Park Country Club. The decor is modern country house. The staff are friendly and efficient, without being snobby, as often happens in 'posh' places. For starters we had the goats cheese mousse ( disappointing) chicken and leek terrine ( so good it was scoffed before we had a chance to share) and the squid with chilli sauce which was excellent and a very large portion. For mains, 2 of us had steak, and i would say my rare steak was amongst the best i've ever had (and we raise our own rare-breed cattle) in terms of tenderness and flavour, and was cooked to perfection. The other of our party had the confit of duck, and whilst not as tender as it could have been was incredibly tasty. The dessert menu was very good, we had cheese boards x 2, raspberry pannacotta and the mango and passionfruit cheesecake to share - all superb. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are in the area. Very reasonably priced at @£60 a head including wine and gin!Parking: Sweeping drive, plenty of parking beautiful grounds

Absolutely delicious food! The chef is really to be commended on the food he sends out, both in terms of presentation and flavour. A beautiful gem that has so much to offer. We will definitely be returning given items on our doorstep! Well done to all staff there

We have visited this restaurant before, but not for a while. It was a family Sunday lunch event, and I am pleased to say that the food was as good as I remember, if not better. The staff were very friendly, attentive and professional - thank you. Combined with the attractive grounds including the lake which provided an ideal option to walk off the lunch, it was the perfect family Sunday lunch experience. We will be back!
