I’ve tried multiple shawarma places across London, and honestly, no one comes close or has the edge to compete. In many places in London, I’ve paid double the price and still didn’t get the authentic taste I used to have back home. The taste here is incredible, everything is fresh, and the quality is consistently amazing. The staff are always welcoming, friendly, and very well presented. Highly recommended!

Colnbrook Lodge, Bath Rd, SloughAbsolutely phenomenal dinner at New Bettola tonight. Easily one of the best “airport hotel area” meals we’ve ever had and honestly just a genuinely fantastic restaurant full stop.
The Aperols were perfect, the cheesy garlic bread was outrageously good, and both the lasagna and calzone absolutely slapped. Everything came out hot, fresh, comforting, and clearly made with care.
But what really made the evening special was the atmosphere. Sitting outside on a warm evening watching aircraft fly directly overhead while eating great Italian food was such a cool experience, especially for two aviation geeks heading back onto long-haul flights tomorrow.
The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming from start to finish.
A total hidden gem near Heathrow and somewhere we would absolutely return to without hesitation. 10/10.

This is a hidden gem in Slough Town Centre. When you sit down inside this fabulous place, you soon forget that you are in Slough! The decor is absolutely fantastic, the food is delicious and reasonably priced, with no skimping whatsoever on the protein or the vegetables.

Our hostess, Sandy, welcomed us with a smile & it was a real pleasure chatting with her during our stay. The food was all top quality & portion sizes were great. Standout highlights were the Sizzling Mongolian Lamb (super tender - if it was on the bone it would have simply slid off - & the most rich & deep flavour) & the Crispy Deep Fried Strips of Beef.

In the evening, I ordered the aubergine dish, and it truly exceeded my expectations. The presentation was refined and elegant, and the taste was absolutely delicious — one of the highlights of my stay. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made the dining experience even more enjoyable.
The restaurant prices are on the higher side, but the quality of the food definitely justifies it.
The hotel itself feels a bit dated, as the renovation is not recent, but it was clearly done with quality and good design in mind. Both the restaurant and the room are tastefully designed, and despite the age, everything still looks respectable and well-maintained. The room was also very clean — everything felt fresh and comfortable.
Overall, a very enjoyable stay with great service, stylish interiors, and surprisingly excellent food.

There are two dishes on the menu, Indian and Chinese, but you can order from either.
They make it after you order, so it's fresh and delicious. I waited for about 5 minutes.

Golden Cross Service Station
High St, Colnbrook, SloughOutstanding service always from this place. There has never been a time where they haven't got my car sorted on the same day. Drop off in the morning and done by the end of the day. Ultra efficient service.
Very honest garage too. Will not rip you off and know their stuff. Recently told me two options for repair and suggested I go for the cheaper option. So could have made more money out of me but this place has a moral compass.
Cannot recommend them enough and will keep going to them.
