Cost 4 quid to park two cars, walk in and find out it was a dirty pub for drinkers, not a restaurant.\\n\\nDid sit down, but table was filthy and the one staff member couldn't be bothered taking our order.\\n\\nLeft and went elsewhere.\\n\\n(In reply)\\nStill one star... make all the excuses you like.\\n\\nUsed to be a nice place.

Just want to thank Carl and all the team for the way myself, my family and all friends were welcomed and looked after at the after service celebration for my late wife. All feedback from everyone there last Thursday 10th Feb was excellent. Thank you so much

We were using a 30% off mains voucher, after having had 2 disappointing visits in the last 6 months. 3 of my party chose steaks. Frankly, they were inedible. We couldn't even cut them with steak knives and they were very veins and tough. We would have rated the visit as a 2, but the young lady serving us saved the day by offering us an alternative of gammon steaks. They were very good, as was the rest of the meal. She said she would pass on our comments to the supplier. We certainly would never comeback for a steak if we were offered the same again.

Great quiz, nice food but becoming pricey. Wine was disgusting and served in a plastic glass. I had to pay for another drink rather than given something else.

Be aware that they charge for parking... They state on the signage that they will refund the parking charge once you are inside but that is a lie... They will only refund if you pay cash for parking... If you have to pay by phone then you basically get told... Tough luck!!! Like I was today... I think they need to update the signage with this information...

Parking\\nI was attending a wake at the swan pub and went over my parking time as I was waiting for the grandson of the deceased to take him home.\\nGot stitched up with a £100 fine.\\nWon’t be going there ever again and will tell everyone I know what a complete rip off this pub car park is.\\nHow can marstons allow this for their customers that are grieving is beyond me.

Staff were welcoming and our waitress very good but we had to wait a bit for our main course plates to be cleared. Food was good but atmosphere in dining room needs a bit of brightening up. Overall a pleasant evening.

We had a family day out nearby and decided to have our evening meal at The Swan. The staff were very accommodating and friendly as was the atmosphere. There were 7 adults and 2 children . We were given a high chair for the baby, and a menu. Drinks came over immediately and after ordering the food came up hot and freshly cooked, and was amazing. The staff remained attentive and friendly throughout. What a lovely place. I would definitely go there again and recommend The Swan to anyone. Thank you to the Manager for such a wonderful team and for making our day, it was the icing on the cake after a lovely day xx

Firstly the food. The food portions were rather underwhelming, ever since the new menu change I can safely say it's gone down the pan. The food portions are laughably measly. In addition to that my garlic bread could be used to stop a bullet, clearly done by chef Mike-rowave. You could taste the disappointment. I will safely say the staff are very pleasant and welcoming except for the odd member. One very rude individual, always miserable and she always seems to take the high ground. Oh no darling! You're dealing with Charles here! And I'm not your average Joe. My advice! Revert the menu, cheer up the individual in questioning and send me some bloody coupons! Chin chin. Yours respectfully C.Montgomery

Nice beer. Toilets are disgusting. Looks very tired. Just upgrading to four stars. Why ?. New landlord and landlady have taken over, nice veer, good food, started redecorating, toilets are going to be done and brewers are finally taking notice. Well done. - coming up open mic nights, live music etc. At last.

Good food and friendly staff. Great in the summer to sit outside in the garden or great in the cold to sit in the bar side with the dog in the snug, or without the dog in the welcoming restaurant. Also good for just a drink or for a meal.

Lovely cosy country pub. Exactly what you want from it. Good food , friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Great for a lazy weekend afternoon lunch. Convenient for the train station too.

Good pub with a nice friendly ambiance and staff. The food is pretty good. I really like this place for a Sunday roast with friends and family during summer.
