Bar • “My heart sank when I realised it was a Greene King pub because their standard menu is normally preprepared. To my surprise the Greene Oak offered an interesting menu of fresh food. There was even a coice of pheasant or grouse. I chose the pheasant and was very happy. Highly recommended.”
Bar • “Food was amazing. The staff were very knowledgeable about the menu and helped us choice something unusual for us to have. We type to select the specialty dishes everywhere we go. Their recommendations were great and suited our taste very well.Staff were so welcoming and friendly.Parking is a bit of an issue, but local roads didnt charge to park there. I just don’t like feeling I’m taking a space from the local houses. However that wasn’t the case here, there was plenty of room.”
Bar • “We had a brilliant stay at the Windsor Trooper. 4 of us shared a family sized room which a great size. There was a double bed, single and a put up bed. All very comfortable. The bathroom was very clean. The pub itself is nice, and the rooms are adjacent to the garden in a separate building. We returned to our room at 10pm after eating out, and there was no noise from the pub or garden. The pub offers a great location to explore all of Windsor.”

Bar • “Nice place, we went there around 4pm when I felt peckish and the service was quick and the soup was excellent. The walls adorn several photos of Prince Harry through his life, and as you enter there's a massive picture of Harry & Meghan.”
Bar • “We’ve been here a few times with our young family after a day trip to Legoland and it’s safe to say it’s a lovely treat for the adults after a busy day outdoors! Highly recommend to anyone in the area looking for a good pint and some yummy food! Also great basic but yummy kids menu ??”
Bar • “We booked a 2-night stay at the MacDonald Windsor hotel (the associated hotel for this restaurant). The buffet-style breakfast was passable - it had all the elements of an English breakfast, and was about as good as a buffet can reasonably be. We had afternoon tea included in a package, but with the numerous poor reviews recently, my expectations were not particularly high. We were generally pleased with the overall experience. The service by Alka was highly attentive. The sandwiches were pretty much on-par for all the various teas we had in London. The scones were actually the best we had during this trip - even besting those we had at Fortnum & Mason earlier in the trip. They were fresh, puffy, and warm with a light crumb and gentle browning on the outside. The sweets were a nice collection of various flavors.”
Bar • “Visited on Saturday 23rd and could not fault the service. Staff very helpful and pleasant . They were cleaning up as they walked the floor, leaving no table dirty. I have read they bad reviews and think any pub or restaurant can have a bad day. The only downside was my breakfast could have been warmer. I could have complained but didn't want to join the wingers. Well done to all staff ?”
“Just happened to pop into this restaurant unplanned, looking for a family friendly restaurant. We were met by a lovely and friendly waiter. With my dietary restrictions I am limited to seafood and vegetarian so I opted for their grilled Argentinian prawns amd chips. Everything was cooked perfectly, the prawns were not rubbery like other places, quite succulent, and the amount I got for £25 was a lovely surprise. On to dessert, being a visitor to the UK and wanting to try british cuisine I had the Eton Mess which was quite delicious. Would definitely visit here again. Essentially, great and friendly staff, delicious food, first class service.”
