“My heart sank when I realised it was a Greene King pub because their standard menu is normally preprepared. To my surprise the Greene Oak offered an interesting menu of fresh food. There was even a coice of pheasant or grouse. I chose the pheasant and was very happy. Highly recommended.”

“We had a brilliant stay at the Windsor Trooper. 4 of us shared a family sized room which a great size. There was a double bed, single and a put up bed. All very comfortable. The bathroom was very clean. The pub itself is nice, and the rooms are adjacent to the garden in a separate building. We returned to our room at 10pm after eating out, and there was no noise from the pub or garden. The pub offers a great location to explore all of Windsor.”

“Absolutely incredible! Whilst my wife and I love fabulous, creative food, I am a stickler for friendly efficient service, and a great atmosphere. Rarely do I get all that, but last night we had it in abundance.The welcome, the terrace, the smiles, the cleanliness, the menu, the drinks, the food, the fooooood, oh my oh my!Would I recommend anything in particular? No........every item we had, was creative, and was fabulous. This is now our favourite restaurant, and will be yours after your first visit,Incredibly good!!!”

“This is a regular spot that we always visit when staying with family in Winkfield. Whether it's quiet or busy, the staff consistently deliver great service and great food. The meals are always delivered swiftly and are cooked as they should. Proper pub grub. So happy to have no alcohol beer on draught. Dogs are always welcomed with a treat and a belly rub. Keep up the great work!”

“Visited this pub on a stag do!Lovely staff liaising prior to arrival and welcomed us warmly!Was in here for a few hours and pricing for drinks also very decent.I had to pop next door for food as I was hungry when the kitchen had already closed - staff was happy with me bringing food into the pub.”

“Good old fashioned type pub with decent prices.Although the place is lacking in kerb appeal mainly due the car park looking run down and lack of greenery aside from some overgrown trees in the car park which look out of place for some reason, this is deceptive and the interior makes up for it, and this is a good place for a pint or 2 which is what pubs shoud be all about”

“Nice place, we went there around 4pm when I felt peckish and the service was quick and the soup was excellent. The walls adorn several photos of Prince Harry through his life, and as you enter there's a massive picture of Harry & Meghan.”

“Very quaint , obviously historic with the creaks and leaning floors all part of the charm. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, Luggage was taken to our room and bought down for transfer on the day we left. Room was comfortable with space for our luggage. Some noise from the bar below but this was minimal and stopped in time for us to sleep. Proximity to Windsor without the tourists is an absolute plus. Breakfast included help yourself and choice of cooked.”

“Popped in for a Sunday roast as recently moved to area. Really pleased I did - was very impressed. Staff friendly. Nice atmosphere and the meat and roast potatoes were the best I’ve had. SO good.”
