Really friendly staff, super dog friendly and good pub grub! Flick brought in a fun night for open mic night with his adorable dog. Huge outdoor garden, can't wait to return in the summer.

We stopped by unexpectedly and really enjoyed the experience - very tasty food and most welcoming staff. We will be back, for sure.

Called Yesterday morning to try and get Sunday dinner.. Told don't worry just pop inturned up myself my wife and family and then they wanted to put us eating food on high stools in the front bar. I told the staff member we were told to come down and there were very rude, this place has definitely gone down hill since last year.,, found the staff unhelpful and very rude.. Seems like the new owner doesn't value old customers. ..If there's one thing in Windsor you will definitely get plenty of restaurants and bars that will accommodate your needs and appreciate our business

Great pub. They do a lovely Sunday roast and the staff are very friendly. It’s on a residential street so slightly out of town but really enjoyable atmosphere. Mid-week, they have acoustic sets from various local artists. Funny fact - Orlando Bloom was there last year on Paddy’s Day singing!

Unfortunately very average. Have been a regular drinker at the Alma for years. New group ownership has smartened it up BUT it now feels a bit corporate not family. They had no record of our table booking despite several calls. Initially they just said there were no free tables until we pushed back. Food was ok pub grub but basically microwave pre prepared. Wine expensive for average fair. Such a shame as it is my local and a reasonable drinking venue but won't be eating there again.

We booked a table for 6pm last Sunday to have a lamb shank roast dinner, when we arrived the man behind the bar asked us to pay for the dinner as well as our drinks before we had even ordered our food.We changed tables as it wasn't busy,we then ordered our meals, the food was lovely, but while we were eating the man came over with the paying machine and asked us to pay again!!.(how rude)...We then got some more drinks,I then ordered a glass of Merlot that was then served in a tall wine glass,(not a red wine glass)..Really bad customer service by this man, seemed like he did not know what he was doing!!!Would eat there again as the food was excellent ?But they need decent bar staff that know about front off house skills.
Gone down hill. I used to be a regular living a few years away. Returned with high expectations and was let down. The standard of the food has dropped dramatically. The previously famous burger was completely average. The chips in a cone that were also well know were also a let down. Half the quantity and as far as I can tell oven chips. Not completely awful but a long, long way below its former glory. Quite upsetting from the view of an old fan. I wouldn’t bother again.

Lovely pub, lovely and clean and staff friendly and welcoming. The only fault I had was it was very cold and customers were sat with their coats on. I would hate for customers to go elsewhere. Apart from that I can’t fault the place.

Had the pleasure of eating in this friendly pub on the outskirts of Windsor. From the moment we walked in the friendly smiling faces of the staff were a joy. Although it was early evening, I could imagine that the atmosphere would be electric as the space just gave off those vibes. The food choice and quality was excellent and a slight error in the order was quickly resolved without any fuss. Good choice of beer and lager. Highly recommend should you be in the vicinity.

We where disappointed. Been coming the the Alma for years and was the best Sunday roast in town at one point. The food was not great. Although the service was ok, staff where unhelpful with the food complaints and unable to correct errors. My friend was embarrassed as he was the one who had suggested we eat here due to its once great reputation. Unfortunately our whole party left hungry and disappointed with the food. We later found out it had recently changed hands so we where hopeful it may be as good as it once was one day? However, reading some of the answers from the management on these reviews does make one concerned. Wish you all the best but sadly, no longer for our group
