Had a great Friday lunch here, took some friends, including a strict vegetarian. The snacks and main courses absolutely lovely, everyone agreed the food was great. Three of us had the burger, which was one of the best we have tasted. The other had vegetarian curry , and thought it was just lovely.Service was great, attentive but not overpowering, and all the staff are very friendly.Highly recommended

I am a 12 year old boy and a consistent customer at the loch and tyne, Every-time me and my family have come to this restraunt/pub we have been met by the most amazing smiling faces and the best food ever! All the staff are happy and it is such a great place to be. I feel that I could just come here and have a chat as the members of staff in and out of the kitchen are just amazing. If you happen to be served by Grace or Lyle I can ensure that your experience here will be better than good. love everything about the loch and the tyne!

Our plans changed on the 30th, so we called to see if we could get a table on NYE. Josh was great and fitted us in for a late afternoon lunch, we felt lucky. The service from Josh, Tom, Sophie and Megan was briliant; professional and attentive. The food was delicious (I don’t want to admit it but the Wellington was better than mine - though you’d expect that). The Tarte Tatin was to die for. See you again soon.

We celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary with lunch in the Private Dining Room last Saturday, with family and friends - 11 of us in total. The food was amazing, the wines were excellent and the service was faultless. We all had such a very good time and we won't wait for another "occasion" before we visit again. Thank you to the Loch and Tyne team - and now I'll stop gushing......

We were ripped off for a bottle of Champagne. I subsequently complained to the Assistant Manager who agreed she could see what had happened and I agreed that more vigilance on my part would have helped. She promised me she would talk to the Manager and have him contact me, which after a reasonable period of waiting, has never happened. We are local to the area and we and our friends had previously enjoyed very good cuisine and service there on multiple occasions. We are all disgusted at what happened. We will not be returning and have told several other friends of our experience. It’s not just what happened regarding the bill: it’s also the very poor follow-up/customer service.

Well, I've just read a couple of the critical reviews of this restaurant. Could there be another restaurant called the Loch & The Tyne in Old Windsor? My partner and I had lunch there this afternoon, and frankly, we had a terrific meal. I had a little moan to one of the waiting staff as she hadn't made enough of an effort to sell me into trying the magnificent looking burger. We had both ordered the beef cheek with Clapshot (mashed spud & swede)! If the burger is half as good as the beef cheek, it'll be pretty spectacular, so we'll have to go back for another visit. Desert was a lovely trifle, and certainly worth round two. The staff were attentive, informed and efficient, what more do you want? Looking forward to our next visit, it won't be too long. Thanks to all.

Enjoyed a delicious birthday lunch here today. Our food choice was excellent. Starters, venison scotch egg and salmon avocado and jalapeños. Mains, pork with burnt cauliflower and kimchi and beef cheek with clapshot. Side orders of millionaire potatoes and chilli sprouts were perfect accompaniments. The cheese board to share was an unnecessary but enjoyable indulgence . The service was superb. A great welcome by Josh the restaurant manager and excellent customer service from Sophie. Would highly recommend.

Poor service, apathetic staff and disappointing, overcooked food pretty much sums up our experience. This was supposed to be a birthday present for a friend and we all left shocked and disappointed with how inattentive the staff were - we had to ask a few times for drinks and waited ages for anyone to come to our table, the quality and quantity of what was served - tiny portions, overcooked meat and it’s completely overpriced.

Good afternoon I feel compelled to write to you to tell you about our experience of your Sunday lunch menu that we had yesterday. My wife, daughter and I came along yesterday evening and I was left less than satisfied with the whole experience. The venue and service were good and the general ambience of the restaurant was also fine. But the food did not match expectations and we left feeling that it was an experience that we would not be looking to repeat in future or indeed recommend. My own food started the downward spiral when I ordered the roast pork. I was amazed to be given a plate with 2 finger size pieces of pork with a piece of crackling on top with a rather large Yorkshire pudding. My wife and I looked at one another in complete amazement..I have never before been served a roast with so little meat. I guess the waitress saw our displeasure or overheard our discussion as 5 minutes later she returned with a small plate with 3 further pieces of pork, stating that the chef thought that he had sent out too little and decided to send our more meat ..!!! I think it is more likely that the waitress reported back our shocked faces and they tried to rectify ..? I also have to say that the roast potatoes were inedible… far, far too salty that I simply could not eat them.. 2 staples of a good roast dinner, meat and potatoes both underwhelming. The vegetable sides were fine. I then had the orange bread & butter pudding with spiced custard.. well if this was custard, then somebody needs to go back to the drawing board..it was so watery it was unbelievable.. My wife and daughter had slightly better experiences , but for 3 people and £250 later I was left disappointed and under whelmed with the whole experience… I’m not looking for any form of compensation ; as to be honest I’m not sure that I would want to experience this again… I just think that you should be aware of an honest appraisal for an expensive lunch that did not meet expectations. I could add more, but I think you get the overall message. You may ask whether I raised these concerns at the time and I did not raise it at the time as I did not want to create any kind of atmosphere or any uncomfortable feelings for my wife and daughter. Best regards

Megan

My absolute favourite restaurant and go to for any special occasion. The private room upstairs is perfect for larger gatherings and the staff are phenomenal (Hetta and Josh were amazing during our visit last night). Always go above and beyond, and so knowledgeable about the food and drinks, their cocktail recommendations were incredible. The food never disappoints, would go back just for the chicken butter alone!

Visited Loch & Tyne twice within a week. Headed to the restaurant on a Wednesday night for a work meal. Everyone loved their starters and mains. Definitely recommend the cheese donuts which are one of the chef specials. On the Sunday when I went back you had to go for the Sunday Roast, there was other options but the Roast just looked too good. It was great value for money and the perfect portion size. The beef wellington was fantastic! I opted for two courses and went for the sticky toffee pudding for the desert. Wine, drinks and cocktails are all very nice and a great selection. They even had a good selection of cigars. The staff are great and look after you well to make the whole experience very nice. Really recommend this restaurant if you are visiting Windsor area.

We had an absolutely amazing experience here last night. We recommend for everyone to try. It has become our favourite restaurant in the country and we’ve been to many. We had so many of the cheese donuts and the Mac and cheese was absolutely to die for. The service is top notch. Special shout out to John the manager who goes above and beyond in making sure everyone is happy

We had the tasting menu and it was fabulous and great value for £65. Menu consisted of; 4 snacks, veg course ”mother” designed by Adam Handling for his mum, smoked salmon, cod, venison, pre desert, desert and finally some homemade sweets. The food was faultless, and impossible to choose a favourite course. Staff were all friendly and very efficient, some of the chefs served and explained the courses which was great. The venue itself had a great atmosphere and very cosy. We loved it and will be back.
