I went last week to Cotes at Wokingham, there were very few tables occupied. The music was loud, and when asked for it to be turned down for a 2nd time, they had said they had turned it down, already, they may have they put it up again. The service was poor, one of the staff was rude, the steak was tough. The menu is poor compared to what it used to be. I liked going to Cotes, when there was no music and it was busy and the food was good.

Lovely food and it came promptly. We were a family of 9 and food came out quickly, hot and delicious. Only thing was only 1 belly pork dish left which was a bit of a shame as a few family members wanted it but hey they tried something new. Customer service was great

Again a brilliant visit to Cote in Wokingham Super friendly and courteous staff. Delicious food; spring menu starter: asparagus was to die for ! I can never find fault with this place 10/10

As a French person visiting friends and colleagues in Wokingham and around, I was initially quite worried to go eat British version of the French cuisine. Nevertheless I must admit all the taste markers I expected from the Confit de Canard and the Chocolate & Salted Caramel Tart were there. This is a good compromise for tasting French cuisine without having to run 100's of miles.

I visited Cote with my partner. The service was great, good selection of cocktails and wine. Food was cooked perfectly, we both had steak. My only criticism to the experience was that the service charge is automatically added to the bill and never mentioned. Yes, it states it on the receipt but it would have been nice for them to inform me.I would recommend booking on a weekend as it does get busy.

Had breakfast here with a friend on Thursday morning - we were one of the first customers so the atmosphere was fairly quiet and very pleasant. The staff were lovely and were very welcoming and attentive! I had the breakfast complet with a delicious warm croissant, a handful of berries (perhaps could have done with some more fruit?) and a generous pot french yoghurt, all of which I really enjoyed. Would definitely recommend this restaurant! Thank you :)

Started having a monthly breakfast meeting with the business team. Service is excellent, probably as less people in the restaurant. The breakfast is very nice, the tables and setup very conducive to a productive meeting. Claudia has served us a few times, but all the staff are happy and helpful. We all normally have the Full Breakfast, the GF options are good too. Great way of starting the day.

Never displeased with a visit to the Wokingham Cote Brasserie. It is a beautiful restaurant with super attentive and friendly staff, and on this particular evening my boyfriend and I received very warm welcomes from staff members Magda and Kate! The valentines atmosphere was stunning and the food was, as always, soo delicious and it all arrived promptly due to organised and well-trained food running staff.Overall it is always a pleasant evening when visiting Cote !

Overall experience was alright. No option to get a non diary capucino because they cannot warm up the milk, so I went for a fresh orange juice instead.Food was good, can't fault that and the service was good.I haven't been in a restaurant in a while and in Côte in a long time. The service was added to the bill, so not sure if this is new or it was the same before.

Service was good and didnt wait long. Food was exquisite. Must have a serious chef in touch with their menu out back. Can't fault them at all.

I feel slightly unfair giving Cote Brasserie (Wokingham) ony 4 stars because for the majority of the time there it was a 5 star experience. Unfortunately some payment issues at the end did leave a bit of a dampner on the evening - so I'll cover that off first then go onto all the positives (of which there are many). I'm sure payment issues are a rare occurence, but Cote could have improved on the way they handled things. After asking for the bill we had a 5 minute or so wait before it was brought to us (which is more than acceptable), and we'd already been told they took card payments only upon entry so we kind of expected the card machine to be brought with the bill. It wasn't so after a bit of a wait (not quite 5 minutes) we flagged down the server and advised we were ready to pay. We then waited, and waited, and waited whilst they had issues with the card machine - when it was working the server did bring it over to us with an apology, only for it to go down again. So off they went to fix it, whilst we continued to wait. After a decent chunk of time (best part of 10 minutes) a manager type person came over and apologised and said they were sorting an alternative out. A few minutes later the manager came back with one of the cardless devices you often see at markets. They advised we'd have to pay using that but they couldn't provide a receipt which is a bug bear in our family but might be fine if you don't mind no proof of payment. Whilst the staff were certainly apologetic, they could have been a bit more communicative about the issue, as it was we were often left wondering what was happening and why it was taking so long. Onto the positives now: 1) On entry the greeter was very friendly and welcoming, we were taken straight through to a table and asked our preferences around mask wearing (which I thought was a great touch) and allergies 2) Within seconds of being seated our server brought round menus and introduced themselves before giving us some time to select drinks and food - despite being busy and having other tables to servce you could tell they were paying attention as pretty much as soon as we put the menus down the server was back and taking our orders 3) The upselling of extra food items was skillfully done and also done minimally, the recomendaitons were well thought out and felt like they were out of interest of us having a better meal than out of commercialism 4) Less than 5 minutes after ordering the starters were brought out, and this set the tone for the rest of the service, with food being delivered in the quickest time I have known for a busy restaurant 5) Each course was immaculately presented and tasted wonderful, the peppercorn sauce with the steak was the right proportion and had real depth of flavour 6) Plates were cleared away quickly and efficiently with minimal fuss The speed with which the staff move here was impressive, even with the poor experience around paying I'd not only eat here again, but I'd try and come more often as well. The prices are on the expensive side, but based on my experience that cost goes into the quality of the food, it's preparation and the service.
