Had food here a few times now and can't be faulted. Would recommend this to anyone. Staff are friendly, and the service was great. Food was piping hot and fresh.

Finally found a chippy that manages to cook fish, chips and a battered sausage properly! Fish, crispy batter on the outside and succulent, tasty cod inside. Chips (plentiful) and, again, properly cooked and allowed to drain before being boxed. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal and going back tonight for more.
Useless establishment. Constantly decline orders through Just Eat. Should be removed from Just Eat.

We were infrequent fish and chip eaters because the quality of this our local used to be shocking. Been a couple of times in the last few months and the food is cracking. Chips are crispy but soft inside. Plenty of salt and vinegar, fish is cooked perfectly. All in all a delicious treat that is becoming very frequent.

I got my first order from the restaurant today, I'm glad to share my feelings that the food was delicious and restaurant stuff behaviour was unexplainable as well as delivery service which is being me more happy.However, I have enjoyed my meals. Thank you ?

Always pop down to Bob's for our weekly Takeaway. They always have something for everyone's taste. Fish, chips, pizza chicken (southern fried or grilled) as well as Indian! Staff are always super friendly... special shout out to Peter, you make the trip down a laugh! I am always waiting to hear what you are going to say! Thanks guys... I will be back next week!

Big order placed with them as feeding 10. Collected order only to get home and find items missing and wrong portions. Drove back to resolve it and was challenged by staff saying it was our error, not theirs….

Quite disappointing. Tasted like it had just been reheated and the chicken was very tough. Will use my regular Indian takeaway from now on

Placed an order online, over £80 worth. Went to collect it and got home to find some items were missing and one order was incorrect (which isn’t the end of the world!) I returned to bobs with the incorrect item and explained that there were some items missing - the staff were extremely rude to which the boy working said all the items he packed were correct and made out as if I was lying. Basically shrugging his shoulders. After finally getting the items, returned home and one of them was still wrong and the food was not great at all. We are very local but sadly will not use them again due to our experience.

I've used Bob's before for fish and chips as it's the closest for collection and it's always been ok but not great. This time we wanted something different so I ordered 1 X large doner kebab, 1 X small doner kebab, 1 X small cod and chips and 6 pieces of peri-peri chicken (£27). I was asked if I wanted salt and vinegar for the fish and chips but nothing else. Once I got the meals home there was nothing but utter disappointment. The fish and chips were ok but the peri-peri was just mildly spicy chicken strips (£6) but the kebabs were just plain meat on a pitta (see photo). No sauce, no salad, no peppers, nothing. Really Bob's? Do you think this is ok for £6.50/£8? Not for me that's the last time I use Bob's for anything and recommend everyone does the same. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Got treated like a leper because I didn't adhere to each and every dictat, imposed by the tyro proprietor, in a timely fashion. They need reminding that customers are still customers - just about!

Bob's has been my local fish and chip shop since I moved into Finchampstead in January 2010. I had fish and chips that day, was seriously unimpressed and haven't been back since - until yesterday, when I thought I'd give them another chance, and that was a BIG mistake. To start, service was excruciatingly slow. It took over 15 minutes for someone to even take my order, then another 15 for my simple order two cod and chips to arrive. So much for fast food. While I was waiting for my order, the shop became the most Covid unsafe premises I've been in since the start of the pandemic, ironic as it was the first anniversary of the first lockdown starting so they've had more than enough time to get their Covid-safe precautions in place. When I left there were 12 customers in the shop (probably as a result of the slow service), half not wearing face coverings, despite copious posters on the door and windows stating a maximum of six and that face coverings must be worn. While I accept it is difficult for vendors to police these rules, not a word was said, for example politely asking the latest arrivals to wait outside, and they were in effect encouraging people to not wear face coverings by half the staff not wearing them, either at all or properly, themselves. One staff member, who shamefully looked like the manager, was not wearning a face covering at all, another was wearing it under his chin (very effective - NOT), the one taking orders and serving had the top across the middle of his mouth, exposing his nose and top lip. To cap it all, the fish and chips was the worst I've ever had. The batter was greasy and soggy, and the fish was undercooked, despite having waited so long. They may be my local fish and chip shop, and the only one in walking distance, but I would rather drive eight miles to the other side of town get the best fish and chips ever. I might give them another chance - but only in another eleven years.
