Tasty family dinner in a stunning setting. Service was great. Nothing to fault. I wouldn’t hesitate to return with my family again.

Mark Simmons please take this on board.I live very locally and often visits the Coppa club and have done for many years.I have eaten at the club many many times.I agree with the reviews about he food….it really is not good.My chicken was dry over cooked and tasteless. The steak was also over cooked and tasteless. If you do not remove the chef soonest I can see you loosing a lot of business this year. The Bull is having a new Kitchen installed as I type this and putting out a new menu.I can see where your customers will be going….they will talk with their feet. The Coppa Club is a lovely place with great staff………it’s just the food I’m afraid Mark…it’s turning into a Faulty Towers restaurant…minus the rat.

Booked for my 16 year old daughter’s birthday meal. Restaurant was cold so asked to turn up heating. We weren’t the only ones who complained. Kids sat there in their coats. Burrata was sent back for starter - was rubbery, sour and curdled but was told that is what Burrata is like!! Having had a few in my time, if the chef thinks that’s normal then who are you employing?! Second one was better. All other fried starters were completely over cooked. Main course.. chicken Milanese - guess what. Overcooked and chewy with no taste. Carbonara equally tasteless. Burger was so soggy it fell apart. Waiting staff were friendly but no offer of condiments and had to ask for condiments. Wish I had read the reviews before we went. Used to be good but word to management… when you have this many bad reviews it’s time to rethink your kitchen staff before you lose all your trade!! It wasn’t even busy tonight so really no excuse. We won’t be back…

Disappointing food. I ordered the chicken milanese. It was over cooked tough ,dry. It tasted as if it had been cooked in stale oil. Rest of meal was Ok but overpriced for what it was. I have eaten here before and definitely not as good as I remember.

My friend took me for Christmas lunch on Christmas Day. It was sadly one of the worst meals I had ever eaten. We sat in the conservatory, all the heaters were on despite it being a mild afternoon, we were served a glass of Prosecco, which was nice, and the young staff were lovely. We were brought our Christmas nibbles which were four lovely little croquettes, a few olives, and four squares of dry toast. My friend said they were supposed to be garlic bread but were tasteless. Then our starter was smoked salmon, it was tasteless, and served with three slivers of flatbread. Then the main “ feast “ two pieces of turkey rolled with stuffing, like two dry sausages, the two pigs in blankets were cooked but not coloured. No garnish, no flavour, came with a tasteless brown sauce I believe was gravy . Our-sides were boiled new potatoes, boiled sliced carrots and parsnips, and sliced overcooked sprouts, how you can make sprouts taste of nothing is quite remarkable. Pudding was a gelatinous Christmas pudding, with a yellow sauce I believe was custard. I couldn’t believe you made a special occasion So So bad. My friend paid over £90 each, and didn’t want me to complain on the day and make a fuss. Drinks were nice, and staff were lovely but was disgusted at this which was meant to be our lovely Christmas feast. Just don’t bother going, truly awful.

I always wanted to eat in the igloos and thought it would be cosy. It was so cold and there were gaps in the sides. The food was quite nice but only 2 vegan options and not one vegan pudding. The price would have been bearable if we weren’t cold. Waitress was lovely so I didn’t want to complain to her.

Sat in an igloo outside which was nice but feel the igloo was a bit run down. Food came. Service was good. Unfortunately my meal was cold and greasy and the chicken was not the nicest.

Beware! UK Licensing Laws state ' Teenagers aged 16 & 17 are allowed to drink wine, beer or cider WITH a meal, IF purchased by accompanying adult - FACT. Ruined our meal by removing my 19 year olds drink which I purchased. Complained to Manageress, she said he had no ID, and anyone under 25 needs it. WRONG - he wasn't purchasing the drink, I was. I showed her a passport photo of him which I had on my phone for booking flights - still NO! Will never go there again.

The inly reason this isn't a 5 rating rating is due to the food only being warm not hot. Having been here a few times before, this appears to be a ongoing issue. However it didn't spoil our visit. The girl serving us was excellent from helping us choosing a wine,to serving and also dealing with a medical issue with our friend. I can't praise her highly enough, just wished I remembered her name!! Definitely worth a visit.

Went for a night out and something to eat. Staff were good. Great place if food was good but unfortunately it was very bland and very overpriced for what it was.

I met a couple of colleagues for a meeting and some coffee at The Coppa Club. However, I have now received a parking charge notice asking for £100. Apparently you need to register your car upon arrival - ridiculous! I won’t be using Coppa Club again and i will take my custom to someone who values it.

We had outstanding service and were treated with great compassion when, having just ordered our meal and drinks, I had a phone call from my mother who was very ill. I had to call an ambulance for her. My partner asked about cancelling the order and paying for the drinks: the waitress and the manager conferred and gave us lunch and drinks to take away ... and refused to take payment for any of it! This made an awful, stressful situation so much better. Thank you so much and we will definitely be back.

The venue is lovely and the food was well presented and tasted nice. However on the drive home I started having severe facial flushing (red rash and heat). This lasted 4 hours, blurred vision and headache after an hour. Really scary and called 111. Having never had an allergy I thought I had become allergic to something in my late thirties, however having investigated the symptoms I was unfortunately poisoned. I ate on the 13th November and had the yellowfin Tuna. Please if anyone has had the same reaction call and log this with the EHO immediately. This isn’t being taken seriously and could be much worse for the next person.

Always a nice place to visit within a stones throw of the Thames path in the quiet picturesque village of Sonning. Plenty of parking but busy at peak times. Generally best for breakfast and lunch times but the evening meals are limited to the lunch menu. Nice country atmosphere with comfortable sofas away from the food areas for drinks. Would recommend. Easy access for wheel chairs and buggies. Please like if this helped.Parking: Plenty of parking but will get busy as part of the hotelWheelchair accessibility: Reasonable access
