Ordered at 5pm midweek, chips were cooked to absolute perfection. Crispy outside and fluffy middle, arrived nice and hot. Also got the scampi and battered sausage with mushy peas and a curry sauce. All perfect.I've seen some bad reviews on here so I was concerned but I assume I had timed this well as the chippy opened. Really really good dinner today. Thank you.

Delicious regular cod- crispy and then flakey inside, great chips!! Not tooo greasy which I loved, loved the tartare, wish it was in a bigger pot because it’s tasty! Mushy peas were cool :)

Probably the worse chips I've ever had. Dry crunchy over cooked.

Clean and tasty not saturated in oil. Best chip shop in Bristol hands down

We used to love getting Chips from here but lately the quality has dropped dramatically. Tonight was a joke, we waited about an hour for delivery. The chips were cold, hard and were basically all the scrap ends. We only live down the road so they didn't get cold on the journey and must have left the shop lukewarm. I ordered onion rings which were burnt and we only got 4 for the price it's not worth it.

What a revelation! I am coeliac and haven't had fresh fish and chips for years. So glad we made the trip because it was 100% worth it. The fish was crispy and delicious, not anemic looking like lots of gf stuff is, and the chips were equally awesome and vinegary and salty and mmmmmm. God I need to go back right now. My mouth is literally watering. I really want to try some of the dessert fritters as well. They sound super yummy.I gave it 4/5 for service because the counter is super high and you have to shout your order over it and I am quite short. I guess that made me slightly anxious coz what if the chef didn't hear me say gluten free. I feel like I would quite like to take along my IKEA kitchen step next time. Lovely apart from that tho.My boyfriend had normal fish and chips and was equally impressed so whether you are gluten free or not, you basically cannot go wrong. Highly recommended ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Please see photo for a visual version of my review....Dietary restrictions: Gluten free fish is great!

This chip shop has the worst ordering system and I hope this review will help them sort it out - the key issue is having to order your food twice! First the cook behind the fryer will ask you what you want - and you may be mistaken at this point for thinking you've 'ordered' your food (but you haven't). You then need to wait around (as there isn't really an obvious place to queue) to be called forward to then re-order your food and pay for it. This system makes absolutely no sense and there have been multiple occasions where we've 'ordered', but not been called forward to pay for it for over 30 mins (and then they start cooking your food). Customers that come in after you often get served first because the system relies on the person behind the till knowing who the cook has spoken too and in which order. It's a hugely frustrating way to operate - and has led us to driving to other chip shops just so we don't have to deal with the hassle. They really should scrap their current ordering system and do it like everyone else - that is, you order once at the till and pay. The person at the till then gives the order to the cook and then calls people forward when their orders are ready.

Normally average but this time so much worse. Big cue, no clear signage of where to stand apart from tiny ones on top of the fryer. We get your busy but get a ticket system so you know who's next?Person serving me says I look like someone, when I ask if that's a good thing, they say no, it's a bad thing. Completely unacceptable, without any regard for other people's feelings. I get your busy, but it's not right to speak to someone like that. So disgusted by how they acted.Top it off, I live 5mins away and the food was cold when I get home, not even warm to begin with.Extremely disappointed, been a few times and it's just gone down hill. Customer service is important, your staff should respect that people are trigger by different things and if they are over worked, take breaks, not take their stress out on a paying customer. You might take something as banter, but did you think how I might have taken that? Will not be back.

No idea if this place has changed hands? Quality of food on last two orders have not rubbish. Tonight, two teenagers serving, way slower than usual to get anything done. Got home and 1/2 my order was missing! Won’t be going back.
