Mexican Restaurants in Bristol

“Best burrito I've ever had and great service. The owner let us try their sales to find one we'd like. Very reasonably priced.”

“Easily the best burrito I've ever had. I had the señor bean. The depth of flavour was unbelievable. Smokey, spicy, tomato, creamy, garlicky, the occasional hint of coriander. Spectacular.Came with a serving of tortilla chips with the deepest smokiest chipotle.Good addition to the burgeoning Old Market area, which these days is becoming almost like the Gloucester Road. Beautiful old buildings and indie shops.Chido Wey also has a great cocktail selection plus local and Mexican beers. Will definitely be back.”

“Very good tacos! The service was not so great, it took a while and they didn’t know that they were out of most ingredients for many of the tacos so it took a few attempts to order.”

“It’s a very casual but high quality restaurant . The menu was small so may not be great for picky eaters but for people, like us, who love to try anything and everything, we absolutely loved it! We had a couple tacos and nachos to share, we didn’t think it would be enough for us but the nachos were loaded and definitely filling. Only thing we would say about the nachos (as delicious as they were, could not fault the taste) is if they didn’t put some of the toppings in one area, but layer it instead. This ensures every nacho you pick up will have a bit of everything rather than having a huge amount of guacamole and a bit of meat because you picked a nacho up on a certain area. Other than that, it was perfection.”

“Food, decor, ambience, all authentic Mexican place. And we were happy to find out that the waitress was from Puebla, which we had fond memories of from our time in Mexico.”

“PhilTraveller- haven’t been here for such a long time… and it didn’t fail to delight and rekindle memories of some great Mex food. Shared veggie Fajitas — massive portion of chunky spicy veg with all the sides. Amazing choc churros for pudding (one portion enough for two to share as a little sweet bite to round off). Casa Mexicana food is just so much better than other alleged Mex eateries. We’re tried a few in the area & they just can’t do it! The place is still painted bright orange etc inside & is informal and noisy. Staff a comic mix of authority and inexperience … but plenty of them and all very willing and helpful. Don’t dress up … take friends who like character & warmth rather than posing. £100 for four inc modest drinks & shared puddings. Thank you .. we’ll be back !”
