Set in the centre of stunning Chew Magna, this is a high quality pub. We walked in on mothering Sunday with no booking like tools... but they accommodated us gracefully and with good wit. Great decor and two lovely fires.Staff seem motivated and polite.

We stayed here for one night before flying to Lanzarotte. The room we were given was lovely with a wonderful walk in shower. It was spotless and the bed was so comfortable. We did not have food,but we did have a drink in the bar. The Portuguese barman was excellent very friendly and was very informative. Thanks for the stay we would definitely use you again just 20 minutes from the airport. Thanks

We met friends for dinner at the Bear & Swan on a Sunday evening. As we had booked a room for the night, we had arrived early to have walk around the lovely local area. The pub was busy with many people enjoying a Sunday lunch. Dinner was very good, with three of our party choosing the Sunday roast option. Service was friendly and efficient.
