Oldest pub in BristolGreat atmosphere, great guests, delicious beer..Mega selectionFrom 7pm it gets cozy at the bar

Advertises itself as a traditional cask ale pub, yet offers 1 (one) guest ale versus at least 9 lagers. A true waste of potential for such an historic building. I am reminded of the fact that the four rivers of Eden were milk, water, wine, and ale. Carbonated beverages appeared only after the Fall. And fall; this pub has.

A decent pint in the oldest club in town ? Well worth a visit.

Great old traditional pub with an excellent selection of beers. Good place to visit before going to a gig.

Always nice to go in there before a Gig at the O2 Academy Bristol next door and have a few reasonably priced drinks as inside the Academy it's over £7 per pint of lager, beer or cider. The bar staff are very efficient and friendly. I always find that the choice of music is always good mixture of Rock, Blues etc.I've never eaten there so I couldn't possibly comment but from what I have seen it looks very appetising and reasonably priced.I would recommend the Hatchet Inn to everyone who likes a pre concert drink or just as a very good public house.

Even though it was really busy, the service was great. The music and the atmosphere were just brilliant.

Stopped here before a gig at the 02 opposite. Carrabou Cup final was onService was awesome, atmosphere was wonderful. Pool tables. Great selection of beersOnly let down was the food. That, however, may be on me. Me and my boy ordered a mixed grill as we wanted to fill our bellys. In hindsight, seeing as it was carvery day. We should have ordered that. Will definitely go back

Another visit for the sunday roast carvery and it was as lovely as ever. Everything looks fresh, rather than dried out under a heat lamp and tastes delicious. We had lamb and beef which were tender followed by the Salted caramel cheesecake. I would highly recommend. Just make sure that you get there early, before 1pm, as it gets busy.
