Came for a Sunday Lunch at the weekend. To start with it took 45 minutes from sitting down to get our drinks. We had to get up and find someone to take our order to start with after 25 minutes. A bottle of wine then arrived but we had to chase again for the beers! This was a bad start so I then wanted the food to blow me away to make up for it. First time visiting The Pony for my husband and I. We always wanted to go to the Pony and Trap, however unfortunately didn’t manage to go before it closed. We were very happy with our visit to The Pony on Saturday evening. The atmosphere was relaxed and service was attentive. The chef was very accommodating and amended specific items on the chefs menu based on my pregnancy. Had a wonderful lunch. Staff friendly and efficient. Starters were excellent, especially my mushroom pate that was heaven on a plate. Main course was Cornish Hake that was perfect along with the seasonal vegetables. Definitely will be back very soon I’m sure,
